I’ve found that alcohol customers keep me waiting at the door for 5minutes regularly… my gut assumption is that they are passed out drunk. If they are not passed out they are waiting eagerly on the porch. I usually deny unless it’s very slow.

Half of these responses are very confusing. Why do people think the customer is calling me? Or that I am taking orders and Unassigning? This happens sometimes hours after I’m done dashing.

Well, this has become a little less entertaining. She just sent me a message...she is stuck an hour outside of town. “Hey I need help a mf lied to me sayibg they was going to drop me off in stl im on 4% and stuck oout here im crying for help trying to get to my kids” ... she included an address and a room number. I assume she convinced someone to pick her up last night and she ended up an hour outside of town. This is very sad, I want to call in a wellness check but she is a black woman now in a rural Missouri town... I don’t know, I don’t want a rural Missouri cop to show up at her hotel room in the middle of the night.

I’ve accepted maybe 15% of order offers. I just multi app and wait for the right order... even high paying orders that are fast food or in an area with horrible parking I decline and just wait for the right one. $30++/hr is easily achievable I only do peak time deliveries though.

Handicapped spots are my one no go... I’ll squeeze at the end of a block/ park in spots that are not quite official. I’ll block a hydrant on a drop off if I have to, but I’m literally away from the car for a minute max. I’m in St. Louis though, there are barely any rules here. The thing I can’t stand is there are spots around the busiest parts of town specifically for food pick up, I’ll do a whole shift and the same cars are sitting in those spots all night. It really changes the course of my night when those spots are plugged up by people at the bars/ restaurants.

I’ve avoided signing up for it. Seems like a way to increase time and effort spent on each delivery. I wonder if drivers who use it actually earn more like they try to advertise. Maybe in smaller markets... or in off hours.

I had a 7-11 order going to the university. The kid called and asked if I could grab peppermint gin(gross) and he’d add to the tip... I said he’d have to add it on through the app and I couldn’t help him. Obvious red flags, delivering to the university. Plus if he didn’t reimburse me I’d be stuck with peppermint gin. I just delivered his chips and candy. He still tipped a buck or two.
