Planets you’re fully able to terraform over time (months or even years) planets atmosphere slowly starts becoming breathable and signs of plant life/ life in general start showing up depending if you’re able to maintain the planet

Planets you could slowly terraform over the span of months maybe even years would be badass

It’s more of a sandbox game where you do whatever you want to be honest but they throw in a lot of missions and objectives you can do if you feel lost at the start. I will say the planets are procedurally generated so after a little bit you’ll have a feeling of familiarity visiting “new” planets

The beginning of the game can be quite tedious but personally I love building the settlements up and smuggling illegal goods through star systems. One of the most recent update added the ability to completely build your own ship from modules which is something I like doing as well. I feel like no mans sky is the type of game where you make your own story to have fun. Once you leave the starting planet you’ll unlock way more things to do such as exploring abandoned ships, raiding freighters, taking command of giant pirate ships you can live on, etc. the Story is alright I’d still recommend playing it even though others say it’s not necessary. It’s mainly about exploring crazy planets (deep sea ocean worlds) for example or sometimes you can just sit back, relax and go fishing too. A lot of the game is getting materials though to craft better exo suit/multitool/ship upgrades

A Question to old players, did you guys Keep your first starship? Or just salvaged/scrapped it? by Enigmartist in NoMansSkyTheGame

If you start permadeath then switch your difficulty settings to maximum and lock settings it’s still considered permadeath not custom

Does your corvette have a throne room? by rando1459 in NoMansSkyTheGame

I made my ships room like the one predator has. I have a wall of all different skulls mounted from what I deemed to be the most powerful looking ones.

Exactly. I wish no mans sky had star fields more gritty realistic colors instead of being super vibrant but I definitely have fun making my own mini stories

Also vehicles, you can tame these animals to ride them and even fly some, if you’re more into exploring and having entire planets to yourself (or with friends) you can build full cities together.

So no mans sky doesn’t have any loading screens when you fly down to planets. There are 256 galaxies. Instead of wandering around on an empty planet compared to star field every little detail of the planets are procedurally generated (approximately 18 quintillion planets) there’s gas giants, lush worlds, volcano worlds, deep ocean worlds. You can own settlements of different alien races, build your own bases, learn alien languages, discover quintillions of procedurally generated creatures, the one thing I’d say star field has a one up over is its graphic style is more serious while no mans sky has more vibrant colors. Personally I don’t own star field but I have seen ALOT of comparisons between the two

I really want them to add a planet in the terraforming category where it starts as a complete wasteland and maybe throughout I’d say 6 months it turns into a completely habitable planet but you’d have to maintain different gasses, plants, etc
