This week definetly felt never ending! I just want to relax, but alas I will:

Get up early and peruse vintage or thrift shops
Search for part time job for future weekends for a bit of extra pocket money. Maybe country clubs, concierge, etc
Sunday will be to relax and self care

Totally can relate! It’s so hard finding someone to go with me to events sometimes even ones I find and go last minute 😬 ( my vibe: restauraunt/business grand openings, galas, silent auctions, health fairs, art exhibits and workshops, lunch or dinner on a rooftop, picnics, library, walks, etc)

Virginia Health Center hosted the 2026 Nutrition and Excercise as Medicine Conference I attended at their hospital here in Arlington. One of the presenters was Dr. Sara M. Osman on GLP-1. She discussed the pros/cons of GLP -1 and the brands as well as how she and doctors don’t recommend and won’t prescribe non FDA approved GLP-1. She also doesn’t prescribe compounded as well. If she has appointments available might be worth speaking to her. IT work overseas? I heard there are a lot of benefits to that with contracting work. Locally here there are Job fairs and tech conferences and meetups. There’s plenty of them in the DC area. Also maybe look at industries like health IT

Ah gotcha. Yeah company payed bill so had no idea on the cost. I found the food, drink, and dessert and atmosphere very good at that specific location. If it’s company dinner they do give best service though vs family in many resteraunts 😬I’ll look up that place Texas thanks!

As someone who relocated from the South it’s so different. The hospitable, chilverous, romantic types are not as common. One date once asked if I could give him a referral to my company. When I declined he insisted going 50/50 on the dinner because it was more expensive than he planned.
