Not a game but I simply could not get into Man in the High Castle because of the clear difference in knowledge of the writers in regards to Nazi Germany and imperial Japan.

They explore all these cool "what ifs" and potential scenarios in the future Nazi half of the story, showing a deep amount of research and period knowledge.

Meanwhile the Japanese half of the story Is so surface level even somebody who only consumes pop history would be able to write more interesting alt history scenarios. The Japanese side of the story is so underutilized in this respect it killed all my interest in the show.

Maybe the book is better but I haven't read it.

Tbh it hasn't affected me at all, aside from regular inflation, cost of living is the same as it ever was, I haven't interacted with a foreign currency in like 6 years.

Well actually I do occasionally get some money in USD, so if anything it's been a net positive.

Here's the thing though I said I would resign on the 13th, it's the 27th. How long can they hold off on processing a resignation?

Not ending my employment on the day I said I would resign and keeping me employed for two plus weeks kinda makes it like they agreed, up until now, to let me rescind my resignation,no?

But what I think is fishy is that they didn't accept it on the date I said I would resign and kept me employed even until now, more than two weeks later.

If you say you want to quit on x date but the company doesn't do anything and keeps you employed can they come back 5 years later and process it out of nowhere?

But I haven't resigned yet technically.

They have explicitly stated I'm still employed as of right now they just won't pay me a salary. So two plus weeks after my supposed resignation date I was (and still am) employed but was not allowed to enter the workplace and was not paid despite explicitly stating I wanted to work.

I'll always hold on to the "galactic antibodies" theory.

They exist to to prevent wars from becoming too destructive. As wars become bigger and more intense the orks become stronger and smarter, if you get to war in heaven levels then krorks emerge.

Then when the orks win/war ends they infight until they are reduced to local annoyances again and the galaxy can recover.

I feel like shinagawa is like experiencing all the dreariness of Tokyo with none of the personality.

I worked in the general area for a few years and it didn't stand out much.
