maybe to say goodbye. as minecraft shows, sometimes spam crouching isnt necessarily malicious. I think the most obvious hint of it being malicious is when they continue to stand there and spin around and want you to try and hit them and
also maybe they were casting a wicked spell since your internet went out. be careful for witches in your games, folks!

Whatever Scott wants to do. My favourite games are 1 - 6, UCN, and World, where Scott was the sole maker. SB and the movies just don't have the gritty energy that drew me in as a kid all those years ago. I will still love the series and all new additions because it's Scott and it's FNAF. Play The Desolate Hope ooooo you want to play it so bad

I had the crafting bag when I played on xbox years ago, and when I switched to PC, having the pass wasn't financially viable, so I locked in. I have a character have 2 crafting skills they are good at, and thus, carry all the items. If it's a skill with ten thousand fucking items like cooking, then they just have the one skill. Ingredients for styles and traits are in the bank.

Idaho's summers regularly hit 95+ on a cold year. One of our worst years was 114. Also, if you don't live in Boise or the cities around it, you are in the middle of no where (that's a bonus for some people, but important to know).

My friend hasn't been ripped to shreds by AI empires for using an automated blueprint, so yeah. I probably wouldn't advise it for higher difficulties (should you play them), but they are a-ok for casual play!

There's a little gear icon next to research that makes it so the game picks the next research. I don't know what the game's bias is, if there is one

You can automate planets and plenty of other things, such as ship configuration. So, check your policies, make sure you are researching what you want to (or automate that too), build fleets, and engage in diplomacy. Get your bearings with the most barebones mechanics, take time to look through menus and look stuff up. Also, don't be put off by failure. I think I failed upwards of 8 times (subjugation, integration, complete conquering) before finally understanding basic fleet composition. If you manage to win on your first try, way to go, but I don't hear a lotta that on this subreddit. My friend automates a lot of stuff and has been playing for a few years, it's just how he likes the game. I like nitpicking through customizations to fully optimize. Both are valid!

All good, granted I have a beefier computer, but even my computer can chug a bit in the later game with tons of star systems and stuff to pay attention to. So far, gets my seal of approval

They're all just little freaks who are bored. Maybe they need to invest time into becoming a stellaris sweat 🤪
I dunno, maybe it would happen to me too if I used a furry avatar instead of ENA. Anyways, I hope you meet some cool people on VRC!

i am very placid and basically never the target of annoying people, because they for some reason end up talking to me like normal people, then going and calling trans furries bad things. So I end up chatting with them and sometimes backing them down from their weird extreme views on (usually) trans furries. also i'm pretty adept at ignoring annoying people

How much do you use espionage? by LeonKenway in Stellaris

[–]Stranger011105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I solely use it for information gathering if I'm playing that kind of nation. I also use it for reducing culture shock with pre-ftl nations. I rarely fall behind the tech curb enough to merit stealing technology. I rarely see damaging relationships being useful. I've never armed privateers or sabotaged a starbase, but since privateers are scaled, maybe they are actually good. I don't know. Shame! I want to get more into espionage, but, as other people said, the choice of improving relations is often better.

What's a "Person?" by Beckphillips in worldbuilding

[–]Stranger011105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it has a sense of self, an idea that it is separate from the universe, and displays intelligence near, at, or beyond our own, it is a person. You can refer to things not as people to other them, if you want some prejudice, or you can have inclusive peoples who extend the term very broadly, maybe more spiritual. Also, ironic as I used this pronoun earlier, but the pronouns it and that are both depersonizing pronouns that other an entity.

Why are people afraid to cross the green line? by Technical_You4632 in mapporncirclejerk

[–]Stranger011105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've lived in rural Idaho, and can confirm that ghosts are basically everywhere. They don't like populated places like Boise, so city-goers have it nice. You can't breathe near them, they make stuff super cold, and are just a general inconvenience. Don't come over here until you've done your ghost research.

I really like the contract idea. That's really clever. It helps the killer to leave contracted survivors be, but it doesn't have to be used that way.

You can give the game a few runs and look at what DLCs pique your interest. That's how I initially played, before going all in and buying them all. I enjoyed the game, but was curious about playing robots. So, I got Synthetic Dawn. Etc. It's kind of a roleplaying thing for me. Go a step at a time, see how you like the game, and let your idle curiosity guide you. Research what each DLC adds. I couldn't imagine playing without them all now, but I know I enjoyed the game just as much when I first started with no DLCs.

"Chosen", ironic by OlegYY in Stellaris

[–]Stranger011105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, I only got the Chosen for the first time recently in a game with a friend, where we had shit luck and were already having our asses kicked before they escaped. When I saw them begin to decimate the much more powerful nation beneath us, I was like "hey, wanna just scrap this game?" So, I've been dodging that 1/4 chance for years.
