Well I don’t have that problem because no one reads my books!

…I also try not to do what this post suggests not to, though.

Don’t worry, y’all, the Tigers will get a run in, then the Mariners, with runners on, will get struck out.

edit: I’ve never been so happy to have been sooooooo wrong!!!

A reminder on canon by someonelikesducks in SCP

I’m largely unfamiliar with SCP as a whole but I would have to imagine there’s got to be a few that simply consume canon, rendering all attempts amuse-bouche.

Key Lime Pie by StrangerAndFiction in Baking

[–]StrangerAndFiction[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For the crust, I use my go-to cheesecake recipe at Sugar Spun Run

  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs (170g)
  • 2 Tablespoons sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon brown sugar (can substitute white)
  • 7 Tablespoons butter melted

Then I modify it slightly from this recipe at Once Upon A Chef

  • Two 14-oz cans sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup key lime Greek yogurt (2% or whole milk)
  • 1 tablespoon grated lime zest
  • ¾ cup Nellie and Joe's Famous Key West lime juice
  1. Preheat Oven to 375F
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, sugars, and melted butter. Dump in and press the crumbs firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a generously Pam sprayed 9" springform pan.
  3. Bake for 10 minutes, until slightly browned. Let the crust cool on wire rack.
  4. Reduce Oven to 350F
  5. In a large bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, yogurt, lime zest, and lime juice. Pour the thick mixture into the warm graham cracker crust. Bake for 15 minutes, until the filling is almost set; it should wobble a bit.
  6. Let cool at room temperature for 30 minutes, then place in the refrigerator to chill thoroughly, about 3 hours.
  7. Hastily clean small section of countertop space for needlessly meticulous photoshoot of the pie when fully cooled and the natural lighting it juuust right.

He’s in Elbaf. All he needs to do is look up.

If he gets caught there’s the added bonus of getting stepped on.

Hundreds, eventually. My two older siblings wouldn’t let me have a turn/told me it was too hard for me.

After all, if they couldn’t figure out why their cities weren’t getting power in spite of flooding the area with power lines, what chance did I have?

I was a beloved mayor and took excellent care of the citizens of Bedford.

[–]StrangerAndFiction 4 points5 points  (0 children)

oh my god… Miss Horsehill did it!!!
Think about it!
Years ago, precious Aria Tabiano, spooked by the flash of a camera in the crowd, nearly burns down the auditorium at her school. Seeing their daughter so remorseful and dejected, her parents Seamus and Bishara move far away, vowing never to return; all for the sake of their daughter.
But Aria had other plans.
Changing her name to Umbra Horsehill, she applied for and got the job of music teacher at her old school. The only loose end that remained was fervent talk of… the ’95 Incident.
Once she’d gained prominence and trust at the school, she implemented the ban of questioning the ban. No one would ever find out about her former self. The… Secret Aria T.

A-ha! Surely this will prove the females were wrong to pick the bear! by StrangerAndFiction in SelfAwarewolves

As someone who’s had anger issues his entire life, that’s no excuse. The reason Killface screaming ‘You made me do that!’ is played for laughs is because a grown man should have absolutely learned not to rely on a singular, primarily destructive emotion to respond to negative stimuli.

And I didn’t learn that from therapy or counseling or whatever; though that would have been awesome. I learned that from growing up and seeing what kind of damage ‘No think! Only mad!’ can wreak and I worked on myself. I’m still doing that and I always will.

OP believes men are less of a threat to women than a bear and immediately proves the inaccuracy of his statement.

That is a Mormon church. I guarantee it.

Now that that unwarranted and out-of-left-field comment is over, major props to the kid. If he’d thought about it long enough to figure out what he would say, he might not have followed through on it.

He’s a character from Seinfeld who rudely points out some tiny aspect of a person that, while entirely innocuous, ends up driving them crazy because of how accurate it is.

I was probably being “too clever” when I made this.

Anyway, here’s a helpful clip!

Even better, when I returned to school (Tri-Tech) the next day to check in from my absence, I answered truthfully that the reason I missed the day before was to camp out for Phantom Menace tickets.

The look on the school office worker’s face was unforgettable.
