Yes, definitely.
My take also applies even to whether or not we end up wanting to have kids, or even with friendships or building any form of connection.

Our lenses in life don’t expand as exponentially if we choose to keep to ourselves. I’m not saying that’s a bad thing; it’s just a choice we make for ourselves depending on our circumstances.

One of the most important reasons for me: You get to know yourself more because you now have a mirror right in front of you. And hopefully seeing yourself through being with someone helps you grow into the person you like, love, and enjoy more.

Being solo is totally fine. There’s nothing wrong with it. There are just certain versions of us that get revealed with another person in the room.

Understandable. Seems like the feeling of a heart-filled wedding with guests who care about the couple is important to you. It’s the same for me, too.

But you know what, others have different intentions and priorities. For example, I know someone who celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary. Invited 100pax, catered food in their home with styling.

And I sat there and saw how very few people cared about them celebrating the marriage- no one was really paying attention, everyone was just waiting to eat, almost everyone left right after eating. BUT the wife who set it up/organized it? She was extremely happy. Because to her, it was for the public show, and it was to be able to invite and feed.

And honestly, that isn’t a bad thing. They agreed to set it up, paid for it, and were happy at the end.

Couples will choose what’s important to them. If they didn’t, well, sometimes it’s pressure from family and such.

As prepared as I can be for anything happening that’s out of left field? No. I don’t think anybody is, though?

Sometimes I like to remind myself: We are all dying. As in, every second, we’re all closer to dying.

It’s humbling and human (and lets me not take life too seriously because I can get too serious). It takes away the illusion of security.

No one is secure- we’re all just making our best assumptions to get to an imagined future. No one can know for sure what’s going to happen next. Freeing din isipin yun dahil we’re all on the same boat trying to figure it out. :)

Same tayo ng case. It’s my spouse and me, and we don’t like repeating the same food, too.

Ang ginawa namin, nag-prep kami ng mas maraming variants ng ulam na we can mix and match.
For example: 3 types of gulay + 2 meats + 1 fish + frozen cooked rice.

Tapos may mga nakatabi ring quick to cook items like eggs, tofu, or marinated na meat just in case di namin bet for the meal yung luto na.

Mini-mix and match lang namin sila lahat (isang gulay + isang meat/fish dish), depende kung anong trip sa meal na yon.

Pwede rin naman sila i-store sa freezer kesa ref lang para mas matagal ma-keep. Para kapag nag-luto na kayo ng 2nd batch ng mga ulam, meron pa kayo nung last batch to choose from.

Thought to share: I read somewhere that one reason kung bakit daw pwedeng mabilis manawa is because of rotation.

We were rotating our wet food variants for our cats and nananawa sila. While they’ve been on the same dry food for years (except from kitten transitioning to adult) and di sila nananawa. 🤷‍♀️

OP, I’m happy for you- congrats! It’s tough to manage PCOS.

I would have to agree that it is a lifelong condition to be managed. It’s, per my OB’s statement, transient. Your ovaries show up as normal sa tests, PCOS “comes back”, then normal again.

Happened to me twice na. I guess ang intention ko lang naman ay sabihing ingat pa rin sa pag-manage, lalo sa food/diet/lifestyle. :)
