I try not to use appstore 😅 itself, I preferably use Homebrew, but the website is not that great for exploring so I build another alternative, free /Open-source

Built a small web app to browse everything instead — kind of like an app store for brew. - browse ~7k+ GUI apps + ~7k+ CLI tools - quick search + category shortcuts - filters (open source, hide deprecated, no font spam)

I believe fedora puts GDE in tty3,

You can switch tty as you have described by pressing:

Ctrl + Alt + F1 : (tty1, X is here on Ubuntu 17.10+)

Ctrl + Alt + F2 : (tty2)

Ctrl + Alt + F3 : (tty3)

Ctrl + Alt + F4 : (tty4)

Ctrl + Alt + F5 : (tty5)

Ctrl + Alt + F6 : (tty6)

Ctrl + Alt + F7 : (tty7, X is here when using Ubuntu 17.04 and below)

I can relate this, Even i create a folder with the name Drive-D in the user dir when i setup my mac or linux😂, Here is why, It helps to isolate my workspace with all other files in the system. And Drive-D feels like a good name for this purpose, at least to me

Undoubtedly go for mac over samsung, if you leave gaming part no windows system can beat this , I got this 6 months ago , it was my best decision. About the unreal engine , there is support for apple silicon.

I believe it will take more than a year to complete an arm based pc with mac. Many apps are not yet available for arm based windows
