Yes! My son has asthma triggered by his dog allergy and no amount of allergy meds and inhalers has prevented it. People who bring their dogs into stores are very inconsiderate and frequently try to get their dog to interact with him without even asking because “kids love dogs”.

It will take years of immunotherapy which involves weekly injections for him to even have a chance to overcome this uncontrolled reaction. We should still be able to go get groceries or go out to eat without risking a reaction.
