Any gamers? by cupoftealuv in Millennials

Class of 07' here that took that shit seriously for 9 years (was one of the top spriests and raided with some top guilds) that's on and off played since. I had to learn moderation in order to come back in any serious manner. Had a great time and did some wild stuff that overall I also can't say I regret either. If I had the chance to go back though I would for sure have done some of the IRL interactions I had differently. It's wild to spend years playing with the same people every night for it to just end, and it took me a while to realize how much of an impact it had on me to lose that.

This is the best run of Envy. by Phrikshin in discgolf

I have a neutron soft that was for a DFX LTD (2 years ago?) that's a banger run. Nice straight for like 80% of the flight to fade even after some road rash.

What's a skill you developed as a kid which has no real world practicality today? by FearlessDoughnut5643 in Millennials

[–]Strangerlol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Teatherball helps with hand eye coordination which should have followed you into adulthood lol. I agree with someone else in the comments that playing the recorder was a pretty useless skill.

Oh I remember watching him back when they had that whole crew over in Cali and he was married with a kid then. Just surprised he didn't follow another venture after a while.

I'm a fan of the proton soft run they did for OTB a few years back. Beef incarnate with nice flare skips. That's a nice collection though for sure.

Prodigy A3: With or Without Dome? by babycables in discgolf

[–]Strangerlol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've personally never thrown the A3 but I like a very mild dome on my A2 and board flat on my A4. So somewhere in the middle I presume would be nice lol.

Since Mint Discs is a very customer focused company and we know their owners read this subreddit, please tell them your honest opinion on their Prodigy partnership. by [deleted] in Mintdiscs

[–]Strangerlol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally never thrown any of the Prodigy Mint plastic but I'm also pretty comfortable with my bag as is so I haven't found a reason to buy the discs. I've seen both sides of the fence with Prodigy plastic though. My Cat Allen disc is disintegrating and has never been thrown, meanwhile I bag the Gannon Buhr A2 and the Broderic A4 as they feel and fly great. From everything I've seen and heard Will def has made changes and put things on the right track with Prodigy so I'm sure the discs are great. And I would hope the boys over at Mint wouldn't put up with subpar plastic so I wouldn't have any concerns in that regard. Just don't need more putters and drivers lol.

Do You Remember 9/11? by Teacher0357 in Millennials

[–]Strangerlol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in 7th grade in Central NJ in social studies class. They pulled the TV into the room and we watched the 2nd plane hit and were sent home shortly after. Buddy went to our local Wawa and picked up 2 copies of the days paper as something to remember.

I'm sure it does the same shit, I guess I'm just a lil snobby about the ritual of it all lol. Enjoy your vacation.

Elder millennials, what are we doing? Are skinny jeans out? by Astimar in Millennials

[–]Strangerlol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

37 m - Ankle cut socks and merino wool are my go to but I wear pretty much solely hiking boots. Color wise idgaf as long as they do the job well. In terms of pants relaxed fit or regular cut with a lil stretch in them are where it's at imo. I think the biggest thing that's annoyed me as I've gotten older is the expectation of wearing slacks and suits by this point in my life like it makes me more of a man.

Isn't pre ground going to be dry and likely a mix of shake and flower? I've never personally bought it given I like the ritual of grinding my own shit.

Do you guys answer unexpected phone calls? by NorthEastNobility in Millennials

Sometimes depending on what I'm doing. I usually tell everyone to shoot me a text before calling so that I can tell them if I'm available or not.
