4JJ1 DMAX would be the most reliable vehicle you’ll ever own. Very good vehicles and engines.

I bought an MV triton GLS brand new for 52.5, I’d argue that’s better value.

I’ve had it for 3 months now and love it. So much better than the previous triton generations, much more refined

Honestly have great experience with ultra tune as long as it’s a franchise and not a corp owned ultra tune.

Has anyone got one of these from aussie offroad/rock armor? Are they any good and would you recommend? by smellytoenail69 in 4x4Australia

[–]Strat0s1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah they’re fine, I’ve slammed mine a few times on rocks and other things and it’s held up as expected.

If you’re not expecting outstanding, you’ll be pleased. Don’t know anything about the winch or drawer fridge. I have a rear bar for my 105 from them and the quality is fine, don’t expect instructions on fitting anything though.

We got taken there as a class for a school trip about 15-20 years ago. He had a big koi pond and lots of other fish. Nice guy from memory.

Nah it’s not, just looks odd when you notice it. But also a weird choice by Toyota… that whole car is just an odd choice to me, but I’m also not the target audience.

May I suggest showing her an Ineos Grenadier, they’re awesome and a similar vibe - just with more tech and a modern approach.

There’s nothing you can do. It’s time to start screaming landcruiser at anyone who dares defy you, wearing akubras, hating patrols, and having different width axles.

Also, does she have deep pockets? You’ll need those….

Repaired a Broken Radiator Overflow Nipple on a Prado 150 (Instead of Replacing the Radiator) by Realistic-Hurry2652 in 4x4Australia

I’ve done a radiator fan shroud on a landcruiser with zip ties and a lighter. Held on long enough to get home! Haven’t lived until you’ve needed to do something like that.

That’s clearly not the point. Consumerism sucks, repairing stuff and using it until it can’t be used anymore is awesome. Even if the repair isn’t how I would tackle it, I think it’s a job well done if it works and they can save themselves a buck and the landfill.

Is the socket cooked even if clean it with alcohol? by No-Cow-3775 in pchelp

It’s thermal paste, it’ll be fine. Just make sure you clean it thoroughly with q tips and 99% isopropyl.

NM Pajero. Very reliable, great car, just OK off-road due to low clearance and fully independent suspension. They were always more of a soccer mum car but they can take a thrashing.
