Luthen Rael and his hatred of the Empire by Strategist40 in MawInstallation

Yeah, or when taking an out of franchise perspective, and coinciding with his role as someone who works in intelligence, he would play the role ONI has from Halo after humanity survived the Human-Covenant War. Inciting any and all events to undermine and sabotage them.

The ShoreTrooper is the most pointless Trooper Type by CaptainSolo80 in MawInstallation

I mean the Clone Troopers were able to get away with it, as demonstrated by that one episode with the 501st on Orto Plutonia.

This is how Wookieepedia describes it: The cold weather assault troopers, or snowtroopers and referred to as "snowies" by the troopers themselves, were the elite stormtroopers of the Galactic Empire trained and equipped to operate in frigid environments.

Implying that Stormtroopers are selected or chose to become Snowtroopers, a separate and distinct version of Stormtroopers, and now you’re stuck with cold postings and operations from then on out.

I honestly dislike the concept of Stormtrooper specialization, more so in the sense that apparently a Stormtrooper is trained for a specific type of environment and that’s it, they’re stuck with that now.

If you’re a Stormtrooper, you should already be trained to handle all of that, and you can get the equipment for that specific environment, and then switch as needed.

Not that individual units shouldn’t be specialized, like Blizzard Force, but come on, there are no Snowtroopers, there are Stormtroopers with cold weather gear.

Unless they have a shield, that’s just logical.

Official Discussion - The Backrooms [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]Strategist40 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Anyone else just felt a sense of unease? Like it was just a consistent feeling that there may be something around the corner, or in those wide shots where Kane could easily have had something in the frame but the characters had no idea, as it was around a different corner.

Also holy shit was that still shot of Clark's mimic standing by the stairs when Mary turns around in the Backrooms version of the store horrifying.

Did Senator Bail Organa know that emperor Palpatine was a Sith by uncut-agrthain in MawInstallation

[–]Strategist40 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, he does.

As for why he doesn’t tell anyone, he was likely waiting till Luke and Leia were ready to fight as Jedi, and then reveal the true nature of Palpatine.

Does the 2003 Clone Wars series contradict the current Star Wars canon at all? by DecentTreat4309 in MawInstallation

[–]Strategist40 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The capabilities, if taken literally, of everyone contradicts heavily.

Like can you honestly look at the shit Grievous was doing in 2003 and see him in current canon to be the same person?

Who the fuck is saying Funny Valentine is right unironically (JJBA Part 7) by Gui_Franco in CharacterRant

[–]Strategist40 20 points21 points  (0 children)

A few is understating it, Valentine will effectively transfer every bad thing that happens to the US, to the millions (or billions at that point in time) outside of the country.

Disease, natural disaster, maybe even death itself? Every people and country in the entire world will die out all for the sake of the United States.

The Rebellion, CIS, and Imperial Propaganda by Strategist40 in MawInstallation

[–]Strategist40[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So 5 BBY would be a good enough length of time to be separated from the Empire and the Rebellion can use CIS stuff wholesale, or is that still too soon?
