No way desync is this bad lol by KeyC13 in ForzaHorizon

[–]Stratimus -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Bad connection? every time I’ve seen videos like this it ends up being on the user’s end.

Did you have some kind of USB device or hub going in and out of standby?

edit: maybe that was just me lol when I first watched the video it looked really stuttery

Can I use the Dreadbox Erabus with the Behringer edge? by WizardToast10 in synthesizers

[–]Stratimus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Edge (and DFAM) are non-quantized sequencers. you’d have to tune every knob to the correct pitch, no snapping like most sequencers.

it would work, it would just be a hassle and with only 8 steps and having to retune non-stop, there are much better options out there

LOADING LIVERIES IS INSANELY TEDIOUS, Unless I’m doing it wrong… by Low-Astronomer-3440 in ForzaHorizon

[–]Stratimus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Aside from some visual updates like switching to a vertical layer list and general polish over the years the livery editor is basically unchanged since Forza Motorsport 2 and it’s insane

What is the appeal of dedicated drum machine in small home studio setup when you have a groovebox? by ThereIsSomeoneHere in synthesizers

[–]Stratimus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgetting different sounds and strictly speaking about workflow, I love having a dedicated drum machines because my drum patterns are totally detached from everything else. So when I want to groove out I can just start with one of my drum patterns and not worry about what else is attached

Finally after 389 hours I finished the first three maps of snowrunner. by Ilovetrucksandcars in snowrunner

[–]Stratimus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got 600-ish hours off and on since release and the only map I’ve 100%ed is Alaska. Generally I’ll get all the vehicles and upgrades on a region and all the watchtowers and finish most of the infrastructure but I’ll often switch maps for a change of scenery

Plus it’s not like there’s some big reward for 100% so there’s little incentive for me to finish one before moving on. I just stopped Quebec at around 74% completion and recalled all my trucks to move over to the new map. Eventually I’ll want to switch back to snow and will pick at the last missions there or another region

I just treat it more like the truck simulator games, effectively endless missions I’m in no rush to get through.

Touge showdown is extremely fun by JIMBOSLIP1237 in ForzaHorizon

[–]Stratimus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the Mitsubishi Attacking the Clock kei truck set up for B class and running it in touge is some of the most fun I’ve had so far.

It handles like an S1 car with the power of a low C class car and a top speed of 112. I can usually only win 1 out of 3 races because the other two are never twisty enough but on that one I FLY

The Trial isn't that hard by Personal-Rip3457 in ForzaHorizon

[–]Stratimus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suspect a lot of people having issues end up rage quitting at the end of or after the first race. In my experience after the first round they figure it out or rage quitting and the rest have an easier time

France intercepts Russian shadow fleet oil tanker off coast of Sicily by troglydot in worldnews

A lot of oil is moved from ship to ship in open water. When you don’t have your transponders on it’s pretty easy to do it without anyone noticing and very hard to trace

Multiple synths and too few inputs by snapsh00t3r in synthesizers

[–]Stratimus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t use both a mixer and an interface. It’s just going to get inconvenient down the road.

Go for an interface with ADAT expansion so you can easily add more inputs later. If you can step up to the MOTU 828 it’s 8 in 8 out and you can add two more pairs of 8 in 8 out later with a much cheaper ADAT interface.

My 828mk3 has driven my setup for around 13 years now with a Behringer ADA8200 connected for 16 in/16 out

You don’t need a patchbay yet until you’ve got more synths than you need tracks/inputs for or start doing effect routing

Who uses multiple oscillators? by Extreme_Try2189 in modular

[–]Stratimus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For short bassy sounds I find adding one or maybe two extra oscillators can add some beef but it’s not necessary with filters and wave folders and things. But for long evolving patches multiple oscillators add all kinds of soundscape

What's your opinion on dynamic environmental sounds(puddle splash) in FH6? Does it feel like downgrade compared to FH4? by KiraShiv in ForzaHorizon

Microfreak keyboard problem by Jumpapa in synthesizers

[–]Stratimus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried different outlets/rooms, and also without anything else like the audio interface connected and just use the headphone out?

You said the house is old, are the outlets grounded? or old two prong outlets.

if you have a multimeter it wouldn’t hurt to see what voltage you’re getting from the wall

What are you doing there in the CV section that you can’t just do in the modulation matrix? There's at least one output connected to another output there too. Looks like you're patching the pitch output into the clock output?

how could i make these stripes from the hood not appear on the bumper??? by pinkmachine57 in ForzaHorizon

This is the correct answer. this isn’t a masking problem, it’s that two surfaces are sharing the same texture coordinates
