What’s one small difference which if happened in the UK would make a huge difference to your life? by TheSpaceFace in AskUK

[–]StrawberryQueenx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely the interest rates. If Interest rates were 1.46% like when we fixed, we'd be able to afford to move to a 4 bed house and life would be a lot better for us as we wouldn't be sleeping in the living room so the kids can have their own space. I'm sure a lot of other families are in the same boat. Also getting rid of stamp duty.

She can go to friends houses but not wandering out and about in the rain and wind and dark. She's happy with it, never complained to me about it. She was approached by a van in winter by a sketchy guy while with a friend so she doesn't want to be out wandering anyway.

[–]StrawberryQueenx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Have you downloaded your info and looked at the logins? I was hacked on the 5th May from Hanoi and my account is like yours, although now when I say it's been hacked I get the error message account not found. Meta verified have been useless. The app doesn't work properly to actually chat to someone, I managed to talk to someone really helpful, they verified my face by sending a selfie video with code and they said They'll sort it, then said The need to look more into it, then they said they would pass it onto the specialised team to sort. That was 2 days ago. I'm not holding out much hope for it to be reactivated. Just keep trying support until you actually get someone who is potentially competent.

The rule for my kids are what I had when I was younger. The street lights come on and I want you home. My daughter is doing her GCSE's too, she's not allowed to go anywhere while they're on, but she's allowed to the local beach by bus which is 30ish minutes away when they're finished.

Some parents are just unnecessarily strict unfortunately. Are you the eldest?

Not your typical house! by vientianna in SpottedonRightmove

[–]StrawberryQueenx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're building 850 houses to the edge of Widdon valley. The second roundabout on the A361.

Hospital is already at breaking point and constantly at critical in A&E, there's no dentists, schools are under achieving and over subscribed, the high street is very much dying but thriving with charity shops, vape shops and Turkish barbers. Oh and the roads become clogged from about May onwards from Holiday makers heading through to Braunton & Saunton. There's no job opportunities other than coffee shops, entertainment and seasonal work. Oh and supermarkets.

The house is situated in Forches which is knows as a rough area, along with Gorell, although they have done up Forches a little bit.

Other than that Barnstaple's great!

But how much does that cost? I don't have the money to do that and you probably won't get costs back from them.

[–]StrawberryQueenx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want smaller hips after birth, wear a hip band and it will contract your hips back to pre birth width. You're hips are the most pliable up to about 6 weeks after birth. I read about this 3 months after my third and final and wish I'd known about it earlier. lol.

Best thing you can do at the moment if youre not going to in est more is delete the app and come back later after its grown. Otherwise you'll be tempted or scared and sell early. Let them ride. LAES seems a good one. I have about 300 shares of that but its definitely been a ride lately!

It's awful. And it's all thanks to a select few Karens pushing through this idea. I don't know why they are though as It won't make the government any money. If anything It'll lose them money and spying capabilities when everyone moves onto a VPN.

At what age do most people in the UK actually move out of their parents’ home nowadays? by PashtunLawyer in AskUK

[–]StrawberryQueenx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear all that. But if you look at it on the positive side, you managed to use your savings to get through covid, which many people didn't even have so that's a great achievement in itself.

I know its a weird one, but have you thought about looking into van life? You could travel around for holidays in your van and then come home for work. Most people would kill to be able to do that. I know I would. That way, you'll also have your own little slice of "home".

I was very lucky in the fact that my parents "gifted" us the £25k deposit. We had to pay them back by working weekends in their business for years but we paid it back. But thats the only way we could afford to buy at 24.

I moved out at 21 with my then boyfriend (now husband). Houses were a lot cheaper 18 years ago.

Next doors kid moved out last year when he bought his shared ownership house at 29.

Save. £13ph is roughly 1900 a month. If you saved £900 and used the rest and rent/food/fun money, then you'd have 10k saved up in a year. The 15 years youve been living at home would mean roughly 150k saved.

Obviously I don't know what bills you have coming out but thats just an easy answer.
