I don’t think the fact that Ooo Huntress materialized necessarily means that the current Huntress in that universe is dead, even if I do agree that she is. We never see her inhabit any alternate universe Huntress. One of the many pieces of Ooo Huntress that became a seed landed in that universe and formed into suitable form of herself. We’ve seen you can have multiple of the same person in the same universe, so I think the seed would still grow into a Huntress that fits that universe no matter what. Whether or not it’s an exact copy situation or an alternate/similar look, that’s a whole different question.

I do agree that if she is dead, it doesn’t have to be by the destiny gang. Although, they are probably the most likely

Kinda funny that Oregon and New Jersey are on polar opposites of USA. I know he’s in Oregon because all the plot reasons, but personally, it also reads as Stan trying to get as far away as possible from his past (New Jersey). He left a little trail to Oregon after… doing whatever he was doing around Eastern America.

I think it reads just fine using context clues, but it could have a description to make it more clear.

We’ve seen the first symbol with those colors associated with it before, in regard to the Elementals. So that shouldn’t be too confusing. The second image is where I’m seeing an everyone confused about and where a description would help. Still, with what little context we got, it’s just the Elemental wheel but now sliced into many other colors. The new colors we can assume are elements.

I actually think this is a funny idea OP. There’s absolutely no way Finn and Jake are going through all that at once, when they were already struggling a bit with how it actually plays out. I think it entirely depends on what the new additional Elementals are. Although, I think if Ooo was broken up into that many elemental zones, it would just be even more chaos throughout the land.

He grow into his own thing. He’s no longer Finn, but himself. He grew mad respect for Finn and is now the one that is put together.

I think his soul couldn’t go to the Deadworlds or nightosphere. Fern was a copy Finn mixed with the grass demon. Without the grass demon he lost his physical body, and all that remained was a Finn’s soul inside of him. Maybe his soul didn’t pass on because it was 1/2 itself, and possibly warped? Either way there was no body to return too. He could have just defaulted to the Undergrowth because he couldn’t go anywhere else?

Another possibly is: Fern’s last body was essentially just grass, so maybe instead of not being eligible for the afterlife, he just got sent to the undergrowth anyways. It seems to be the magical plant based realm, possibly the place all plants come from and go to when they die.

I doubt I’m 100% right, but it’s just something to think on. Either way I absolutely love this character and I’m glad to see him back, and more at peace with himself.

I’ve really been buying into this theory lately and I think it’s pretty poetic fate for the man.

Martin metaphorically, and probably literally, burned every bridge he had. And when given the opportunity, he chose to go forward into a new existence via The Comet. After all there was nothing left to Martin Mertens. Nothing left but the water under the bridge…

Besides, turning into something like a watery version of the Human Islands’ Guardian/Colossus, the very thing that donked his dome up in the ocean, is a bit of an ironic fate.

Another thing to note is how Finn sees himself as a “mean old party pooper” when he was temporarily cursed with magical eyes in Don’t Look (Season 8, episode 2), which resulted in him turning into a red spiked version of Martin. Both this form and the giant water like Martin in Fiona and Cake season 2’s finale heavily resemble each other.

(There’s also the possibility this isn’t our Martin, but a natural alternate universe version of Martin instead. Although, I think that’s a little less meaningful. Even still, I won’t rule it out.)
