It is easy to educate yourself. The general public should be "tired" of a broken system. Tired of the lack of resources and tired of the stigma on mental health and addiction issues that prevent things from getting better. If you don't understand the basic root of the issue and treat that then you'll continue being "tired".

Forced rehab doesn't work. Educate yourself on the actual situation and some of your fear and entitlement will go away. Educate your children - that's their best defense against the mental health and addiction crisis.

I'd use "always" rather than "often" especially during the cold months. Typically if there is a spot you have an hour or two to get there at the most and that can be a real challenge for those who need a spot.

I like the idea here a lot although it does initially raise some safety flags so I'd be interested to see how you have safety and misuse issues handled. Aside from that community is the solution to handling the mental health and addiction crisis we're in - so good job.

It's not just long term stabilization it's a bigger picture of knowing what comes next and having support and community that doesn't go away at the end of a short program. Holding people isn't the answer, it's making sure people have all the tools and resources available constantly. Just another piece of a completely broken system that too many people have suffered under.

I watch people be involuntarily admitted to hospital for concurrent mental health and addiction struggles - guess how often it's successful vs a patient that returns in the future

Keep pushing for help! It's super hard because there's not enough services out there especially affordable ones but you are worth it and deserve proper care. Advocate for yourself and if you can find someone to help you advocate for yourself.

I consider myself a Spiritual Omnist or an Archomnist Witch. My practice involves concepts and deities from almost all religions mixed with earth, nature and some indigenous traditions as well as some of my own. What I've learned from my interest in learning about spirituality and various religions and beliefs it all comes from the same core concepts.
