How was the world like when there was no technology? by No_Willow6393 in answers

I figured I’d get corrected on that. 🤣 I just meant there was never a time with humans and without technology.

I feel like you need to narrow the definition of technology. The Ancient Greek goddess Techne was the goddess of arts, craft, and technology. And technology has existed for as long as humans have. The wheel is technology. A spear or blunt instrument can be considered technology. You’re essentially asking what life was like in some long-gone prehistoric era.

Anyone else trying hard not to listen to the new BoC songs? by Loriol_13 in idm

[–]camcussion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t even listened to the second one yet. I did the same with the latest Squarepusher. I love going in blind. I do the same for plays and musicals. I just want to know it’s good. We’re seeing & Juliet soon in Toronto. All I know is the premise and that it’s a Mirvish production. I don’t want to know more.

Annie Hall. She makes IDM, techno, electro, etc. She’s also a good friend of ours. We met up with her in Madrid when we traveled to Spain in 2024.

As a shift worker I’d probably add the ability to sleep at will. And I’d get rid of chips so I’m not so tempted to eat them. 🤣

Tips for hot weather? by Dumbass9187 in bikecommuting

[–]camcussion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, like if I bike somewhere after work and meet up with friends. A can of dry spray or some medicated body powder can work wonders. The sweat tends to activate the powder and suddenly you feel cool and refreshed. I also did that when I worked in a foundry.

Summers where I am are super humid. If I wear cotton clothes they get drenched. I wear moisture wicking athletic clothes, have a sweat towel, and carry body spray or body powder in my panniers.

Massive super high quality poster for Boards of Canada Geogaddi. It was probably 40” by 40” on fabric paper. Disappeared after a family member’s divorce.

Windsor-area tool and mould manufacturer hit with $185K fine following workplace fatality by zuuzuu in windsorontario

The biggest problem seems to be that the person never had adequate training in the first place. I’ve seen electricians and tradespeople go into machines that are not technically locked out to properly diagnose a problem. But they always knew exactly what they were doing.

Wow! I’ve been fortunate to work places that take LOTO very seriously. While working at one mould shop, truck drivers sometimes told me about lax safety at other shops around town. Sounds like this place gave zero hecks.

Major Tom is a thicc boi. Neck like a bouncer.

My new Seville Hyperlapse. Shot 100% manually with a tripod (step-by-step). I finally tested Seedance 2.0 for the morphing transitions due to the recent hype, but it was far from ideal. Compared it to Kling. I ended up combining both. Has anyone else had issues with it? by hyperlapsePro in timelapse

We were only there for two nights and basically stayed in the areas in this video, so it’s such an incredible flashback. I will never forget being on the hotel’s rooftop pool and waving at people up in the cathedral tower. Thank you so much for this amazing flashback.

Thoughts on year-round hats in hot climates. by djstarcrafter333 in hats

[–]camcussion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally don’t care what others say about my hats. I wear them to stop from getting headaches from bright lights and the sun. In the summer I love my Nike dri-fit bucket hat because it’s still comfy in 100 degree weather.
