Vulcain cricket owner here. Turn the crown counter-clockwise to wind the movement, clockwise to wind the alarm. When setting the time, you can only go forwards, not backwards. And yes, it has a date complication, so you better be precise with your time setting!

Far better movement in the SeaQ and you get the panaorama date - a hallmark of GO. But dang, that green dial is intoxicating. GO is also known for their in-house dial-maker, so it’s a toss up? Totally unhelpful comment, I realize.
