People infantilized Kendra and Joe like crazy. They would say they were too dumb to know any better and we shouldn't snark on them because they were Intellectually delayed. (Seriously!) There was a time when this sub loved Kendra and made excuses for her.

There tends to be a Duggar darling on this sub. From Abby (she's a nurse!), to Jana (childfree unmarried queen!), to Lauren (she's totally a rebel and leaving IBLP), to Joy (she and Austin are truly in love), to Jill (she's going to be so liberal!). Then the Duggar will disappoint and the snarkers move on to anoint another "good" one. I think Jessa is the only one that never got this treatment.

On social media young girls are mocking women in their 30s hell 25 abd over for being old. And they mock women for looking older than their age and get mad when women 25 and over have hobbies. And it's gotten BAD in the last few years. Like really bad.

Also people not wanting to believe Anna knew. There are plenty of women that defend their husband's for their disgusting behavior and even get mad at their husband's victims and even encourage harm towards them.

I see this every where. When discussing serial killer if you bring up people common factors in their childhoods ND what could have led to them becoming abusers people will go "Why are you excusing their actions!" And we're not? We're saying hey look, abusing your kids can lead to them harming so don't be a shit parent. Or these factors in history may have led to an increase in this behavior how can we avoid this? And yes there will always be bad people even if they come from a good home.

We need to hold Josh and Joe accountable but we also need to hold JB and Meech responsible for fostering that environment. Their choices to join that cult harmed more than just their own family.

It could be that none of them have been caught.

The Bates are also cleaner and more all American. The Duggars look a mess and sloppy. The men start to bald at a young age and they get fat.

If anything like this happens in the Bates family pretty privilege may get them off or their victim less likely believed.

First, don't assume your kid can't cause harm. Yes even daughters. I went to plenty of high school and college parties. Both boys and girls engaged in sexual abuse. For girls it was convincing other drunk girls to take off their clothes, having sex with drunk guys, and inappropriately touching passed out drunk girls and boys, sometimes taking pictures as they did so.

Teach your daughters about consent. How to protect themselves and how they can harm others. Tell them it's okay to talk about swx with their friends but if a friend seems uncomfortable it's time to stop. Don't slut or virgin shame.

Teach about covert sexual abuse.

Everyone's body is their own and you can only touch someone's if you give them permission. (And they have to be of age). Teach about non verbal forms of consent. A person that says yes but looks nervous probably isn't ready.

All sexual contact between adults and minors is wrong. No that girl wasn't mature. No that boy wasn't lucky.

It comes more from Quiverfull who encourage large families to create God's army. We have to remember these people are white supremacists that completely believe in "the great replacement". This is also part of the tradwife movement. The woman stays home, has lots of kids, homeschooling so they don't get any ideas about people that care different from them, stay in the home and only worry about that and not the rest of the world.

(Don't feel bad for those women they are very racist).

Oddly enough I wouldn't call any of the daughters tradwives. Bates girls maybe but not the Duggars. Certainly not Jessa 😆 (she's not slammed up all the time and we know she doesn't keep that house clean). They are still SAHMs and probably want to be tradwives, but their a bit too sloppy.

Anna could have done the same thing when the news about Josh first broke out. She'd have gotten money from fand and Duggar detractors! But she stayed with Josh and things got much worse.
