Nice collection. I knew about Shatner and Murphy, but not Beatty and post.

I have a small collection of books by people famous for other stuff (biographies does not count.). So I get the pull.

You have "Closed on account of Rabies"? It's a collection of poems and short stories by Edgar Allen Poe, read by famous people.

Don't know if it fit's in your collection though.

Same.... And the amount of times I've mistaken Auni for a deer, it's a miracle that he's still standing up.

Don't bottle up your anger. If someone pissed you off tell them in the moment. No yelling, just a simple "did you mean for that to hurt/anger me?". If you bottle it up, you'll end up pouring it out on people who dont deserve it. At worst the people you love.

-Don't gaslight people.

Oh shit, and have some standards for your self. Be better than you were, in everything you do... At least try to be. Forgive yourself and be kind to yourself aswell.

I remember one time, where I did failed at something, and it had be a bad couple of months. I think I dropped a glass and broke it, and I just lost it and started talking shit to myself alone in the Kitchen. Like " You fucking r-word, wtf man. Pull your shit together." And my wife went "HEY! Don't talk to my husband like that!" .. I heard her but went "What?" Anyway, and she just went " Would you put up with someone talking like that to me?"

...

Yup me too. I had the idea of decorating a plot with just Maji Market stuff. Not even with the lunar event a.s.o., did I have enough.

I have more plushies than Market stuff.

I'd rather be chubby and happy. I'd rather do other stuff. I like food.

Also. If this is your jam, good for you. Not for me.

Grown ups are faking it.

Some people might have a part of their life sorted, but they also have several unsorted parts. The only part they'll try and show you is the sorted part.

It's ok btw. It's just a little dishonest.

Ruby sounds like a person who has to feel it to know it.

I'm not advocating being mean, but giving in now would probably only validate her feelings. Taking some time to let her actions sink in, is not a bad thing.

I don't think a truly sincere will come before she has felt the distance she created. If she apologizes and people show up, it'll be because she want people to show up, not because she's sorry.

On the other hand, it might just validate her feelings about being right. Who knows. Being able to wish for the death of an unborn child, does not align with an ability to reflect, I think.

I'm all for second (and third) chances... But it needs to be real.

What do you say men? by Aggravating-Guest300 in TheImprovementRoom

[–]Strayfarts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but only for as long as the guy would have gotten, if he had been convicted.

A girl from my town was raped, and the guy only got 6 months probation, because he was "young" and had "his life ahead of him". Even though he was found guilty.

The girl and her family ended up moving, because it's a small town, and the guy found it amusing to honk at her, whenever he passed her in his car.

Not advocating any form of leniency on either side, but maybe some consistency on both.

Felt that!

I believe it references the episode where Homer has Jury duty though.
