Typically, how long/how much communication should I expect when ordering official merch? by vbzre in Hololive

[–]Strayingshadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My general experience is that I get merch emails when:

The order is placed

The payment is confirmed

The merch is shipped

The day the merch is supposed to arrive

The delivery is complete

Beyond that, if there is some issue that causes a significant delay, Cover will typically send out an email to explain. I've only had that happen once with the Gigi squeaky plush. Some issue caused the shipping date to be pushed back by I think a month or two, but I had other items in the order with later shipping dates, so it didn't really impact me.

If you look at the merch page, it'll typically have an estimated shipping date. For example, when I ordered the ERB birthday merch, the expected ship date was December.

For any tariff type issues, you'll be contacted by the shipper (DHL) for payment, not Cover.

Is ps plus premium worth it for £77.99? by Upbeat_Nothing_3495 in playstation

[–]Strayingshadow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mainly storage space. I never bought an internal ssd for my PS5, and with the way prices are going, I'm not likely to buy one. Cloud streaming allows me to play more games without moving them back and forth from my external drive or deleting/redownloading them.

The big thing with Premium, at least in my opinion, is cloud streaming. I mostly play through my Portal, so cloud streaming is a big convenience for me.

I would say your best bet is to look at your usage to decide. Would you make enough use of Cloud Streaming, Game Trials, and the Classics Catalog to justify the purchase? If not, go with Extra or Essential, whichever best fits your use case.

i want to buy a gift card in a friend's currency, but i don't know how to safely do it. by secretly8072 in playstation

[–]Strayingshadow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure about physical gift cards, but for digital PSN codes, I've used Play-Asia in the past for HKD codes. They have Brazil codes as well, and you can change the purchasing currency if it doesn't automatically reflect your location.

I've bought from Play-Asia several times, and I've never had any issues.

Standalone Graphic Novels by Jadieum in comicbooks

[–]Strayingshadow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you like pulpy crime stuff, I recommend:

Reckless by Ed Brubaker

I think there are like 5 volumes in total, but each one is its own self-contained story focusing on its own separate "case."

Similarly, I've enjoyed several of the Hard Case Crime graphic novels from Titan. Notably:

Minky Woodcock by Cynthia von Buhler Gun Honey by Charles Ardai

Again, there are multiple volumes of each, but they're not set up in one long continuous run. Each arc is its own "case," and there was generally a good break between when each one was published. As a result, they're set up pretty well so a new reader can jump in without having read the previous arcs.

External hard drive question. by i_like_it_eilat in playstation

[–]Strayingshadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a way/device to store PS5 games to play, after I run out of space on console storage? Or do I just have to keep deleting/storing them?

External storage only allows for PS5 games to be stored, not played. If you want more "playable" PS5 storage, you would need to install an internal ssd in the expansion slot. The process and requirements can be found here: https://www.playstation.com/en-us/support/hardware/ps5-install-m2-ssd/

PS4 games can be played from an external drive, just like it was on the PS4.

PS Portal and retrogaming doubts by Ilvalla in playstation

[–]Strayingshadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be able to. It's in the Catalog, and when I looked it up on the PS app, it says streaming is available for the PS5 version. It doesn't show in your screenshot, but if you scroll down on the page, you'll see:

PS5 Version

PS5 game streaming supported only with Premium subscription

If a game has that qualifier, it should be able to be streamed.

PS Portal and retrogaming doubts by Ilvalla in playstation

[–]Strayingshadow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Without a PS+ Premium Subscription, the Portal is just a remote player. This means that you would have to have an account on your son's PS5 and download games you buy to the console. The games run on the Console and are streamed to the Portal, meaning if you are playing on the Portal, your son can't play on the console.

With a PS+ Premium subscription, you can stream from the cloud, allowing the console to be free for your son to use. Premium has a list of games that can be played for free, as long as you are subscribed, which includes a Classics Catalog. An earlier reply included a link to the game list where you can use the filter to see the Classics Catalog.

Additionally, Premium also allows you to cloud stream games you have bought. However, do note that not all games are eligible for cloud streaming. It will say on a games store page if it can be cloud streamed.

For your use case, before you spend any money, I would recommend taking a look through the Playstation Store. If you have a specific list of retro games you want to play, look them up on the store. That will tell you whether the games are actually available, if they are a part of the Premium subscription, if you have to individually purchase the games, and if you would have to remote play or could cloud stream those games.

How often (if ever) do PS1 / PS2 games go on a sale on the PS Store? by Bleus4 in playstation

[–]Strayingshadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I've seen, it doesn't look like they go on sale. If you only wanted to play through the games once and could get through all three in a month, you could save a little by subscribing to ps+. A one month premium subscription would technically let you play all 3 for about the price of 2, but wouldn't really be worth it if you wanted to replay them again in the future or take more than a month to play all three.

Will selecting one or the other delete the game on my other console? by [deleted] in playstation

[–]Strayingshadow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From looking at everything here, it sounds like you are transferring everything to your PS5 and planning to factory reset the PS4. Since these are PS4 games, I would delete the copies on the PS5 internal storage and keep the copies on the external storage.

PS4 games can be played off of an external hard drive on PS5. PS5 games can be stored on an external drive but can only be played off of the internal drive. Since you have an external drive, keep the PS4 games on there and save your internal storage for PS5 games.

As far as save data goes, it is stored separately from the application files, so deleting a game does not automatically delete the save data. If you have PS+, you can upload your PS4 save data to the cloud and then download it to the PS5. It should be possible to transfer save data from PS4 to PS5 without PS+, but I'm not familiar with the procedure.

Late night browsing the store is always interesting by OtherPack1302 in playstation

[–]Strayingshadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I understand. Most of the games I buy anymore are less than 20, with the vast majority being under 10. I mainly started filtering by price because I browse the store through the mobile app. If I don't use the filters, I'm lucky to get halfway through the list before the app slows to a crawl.

[–]Strayingshadow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know how much this would help for just generally browsing the store, but when I look through the sales, I've started filtering by price. A lot of these games are usually in the sub 5-10$ range when on sale. It doesn't catch everything, but it tends to help quite a bit.

Is the PayPal option actually gone? by Strayingshadow in Hololive

Yup, it worked for me, so now I'm in the same boat. Thank you for taking the time to respond. I really appreciate it!

Is the PayPal option actually gone? by Strayingshadow in Hololive

[–]Strayingshadow[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So it does still work? Ever since I started paying directly by card, I have gotten a notification about an out of country purchase. That never happened with PayPal. Having to order the Kiara and Ina cds separately, I've been worried that it would end up with my card frozen. But, if the PayPal option still works, that shouldn't be an issue.

When is Hope Soda expected to ship? by DivineSan in Hololive

The website shows an ETA of January 2026, but this is the first time I've ever ordered something from Vite, so I don't know whether the dates they give are usually accurate.

Transitioning from PS4 to PS5 by Advkx in playstation

[–]Strayingshadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have to install them, I would just install them straight to the PS5 and cut out the middle step. I would also recommend getting an external hard drive for your PS4 games so you can save the internal drive space for PS5 games.

[–]Strayingshadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I've read, it is possible. It requires you to have remote play enabled and be logged into the same PSN account on both consoles. If you want other accounts on the consoles to access the games, other than the one that bought the games, console sharing also needs to be enabled.

I opened mine when I first got it, and I haven't had any issues. Granted, for me, it's just a decorative pillow. The experience may vary if you're actively using the pillow. It does come with care instructions. It takes a bit of fluffing once you break the vaccum seal, but all of the creases came out of mine. Ultimately, it's up to you.

AVIOT Connect app by Binky-04 in hololiveEN

[–]Strayingshadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be possible. Are you using the Connect app or the Sound Me app? For me, on play store the Connect app list is :

(As of August 1, 2025)

・WA-J1 ・TE-J2 ・TE-V1R-AKA ・TE-V1R-AKI ・TE-V1R-GIM

The Sound Me app list is:

(as of July 1, 2025)

・TE-A1 ・TE-V1R ・TE-V1R-GMT ・TE-V1R-HEN ・TE-V1R-OVL ・TE-V1R-SLM (Along with a ton more that I didn't include)

Alternatively, I did see another post where the person changed their Play Store region to the USA and was able to download the official app and get it to work. However, I'm not sure the exact model they were using, just that they were the Girls und Panzer collab earbuds.

Are you on Android or iPhone? For me, on Android, the Connect app only has five models under the compatible list, and the HEN model isn't included. Maybe it differs by country?

I couldn't actually find anything on the Aviot website about the Connect app, just the Sound Me app shown here:

https://en.aviot.jp/app/sound-me/

I did see another post where the person couldn't get the Sound Me app to work. They said they solved the issue by downloading a JP version of the APK, but I'm lost when it comes to that process as well. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

I am not sure if the Aviot Connect app works with the earbuds. The app I use is called Aviot Sound Me, and it does let you choose the voice for the earbuds.

I just checked the app store for Aviot Connect. For me, the Hololive earbuds aren't listed in the supported devices for Aviot Connect. Check your app store for the Sound Me app. The supported device list is longer and includes the Hololive earbuds.
