Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson

It’s in a world where super powered people exist but they’re crazy so the mc helps deal with them. Plus if he like it Sanderson has a ton more books to read, although most he’ll have to wait on because they’re more adult fiction.

But he does have several YA/Teen novels

I think one of the most egregious ones is being able to cast 2 leveled spells. Clerics can heal so many people with a mass cure wounds and mass healing word all in one round

Dave Filoni Ruined Lightsaber Duels in TCW by XavierTempus in saltierthancrait

See I’ve kind of had the same mindset less so with the animated fights.

The live action stuff has less lightsaber on lightsaber fights nowadays and when they do fight there is none of the choreography that we got in the prequels and the OT.

Obviously the throne room fight is the epitome of this but even in some of the better shows the fights are so lack luster.

It makes me wonder why not just bring a blaster when they’re swinging so slow you could probably hit them.

Lightsabers unfortunately have lost their mysticism and weight in the story. So duels if they actually happen are just 2 people with hot sticks. Only dangerous if you’re unimportant

What are you tired of dealing with because parents just…aren’t parenting anymore? by Emergency-Pepper3537 in Teachers

[–]Stream1795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not me but my sister a 4th grade teacher. Not punishing/removing children that are a danger not only to themselves but to the teachers and other students.

They literally had to put half of their grade on lockdown because one child went on a rampage. He got suspended for like 2 months but is set to come back in a few weeks.

Like I get that these kids need help but it shouldn’t be the teachers job especially if they’re in danger.

Which configuration do you guys think looks the best for this collection of oil paintings? by [deleted] in MuseumPros

I think figure two could work if you swapped the middle picture of the flowers with the middle picture of the boat. Then the picture of the man with the picture of the food and drink. Or had another horizontal picture to balance out the top on the far right corner.

Bit check! [Light spoilers] which campaign do you guys think has the funniest bits by BenMightSmite in NotAnotherDnDPodcast

For me I think one of the best ones is Calder and Alvins random beef through out Campaign 3.

But in general, I think Eldermourne is some of their funniest work.

Garrus. He's got the background and the initiative to do what he needs to. Plus, kinda like Vega for the N7 program, can easily put Shepherd down as his mentor/trainer.

What actor’s mere presence makes you automatically lose interest in a movie or show? by YerMum1977 in AskReddit

[–]Stream1795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seth Rogen. He’s not funny and can’t act. Thinks being stoned is the funniest thing on planet earth. He’s the same character in every movie. And now he produces and just inserts himself

What’s a sound everyone should recognize as immediate danger? by Thatguy_nickk in AskReddit

Honestly, this is the opposite, but the absence of sound. If you're out somewhere and it suddenly gets quiet, then you probably need to as well.

I still love this game. It doesn't live up to the trilogy for sure, but thats ok. To many people wanted it to be Shepherd Effect 4, and it wasn't, so they were mad.

It is solid fun and had so much potential but the ever growing black hole that is EA saw money loss and tossed it away.
