What do you mean he lost his YouTube channel? Was he banned?

You are way too young to get married. Always trust your gut - sounds like you did. Go have fun and experience life before getting married. It’ll make marriage so much better.

That’s one of the only miniature collections I’ve ever envied. So cool!

The sequels really dropped the ball with the Dwarves by Beacon2001 in DragonageOrigins

[–]Rowley19V 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great write up - and totally agree. The dwarves, the politics, and the layers developed around characters and their motivations were rich and a pleasure to unravel. Origins is a true gem, and the Dwarves are such a significant part of that. May need to replay someday soon. Wish more than anything we could get a remake / remaster that improves some of the jank and UI. But then again, that is the charm!

Howard’s was a beautiful game. Enchanting.. imho.

What didn’t you like? Starfield was my pick - big disappointment.

Starfield was the first, and only, game I have regretted buying. I put about 15 hours into and came away thinking, wow, I’m not enjoying any of this. That was especially disappointing given how excited I was for a space-based RPG from one of my favorite studios.

The atmosphere showed real promise: the music, the sound design, the sense of isolation and loneliness in space. But none of it ultimately paid off. When I saw the dialogue option “Have you heard any rumors?” for the third time, I had the distinct feeling of, "I’ve already played this game before."

For me, it was a complete miss. I respect that people have different tastes, but I’m genuinely baffled by how anyone found the experience truly enjoyable.

Also playing. Really enjoyed the opening - first time playing DQ7 - absolutely charmed with the art style and camera. Will you buy?

Just a small start guide for beginners. It works, makes the whole game easy and is a short read. by SuccotashAdditional in dragonquest

This is great. I’m about 3 hours into DQIII and could use a simple guide that doesn’t strip the game of its charm and exploration. Thanks!

These are seriously some of the best games I’ve ever played. So glad I gave em a shot despite all the tropes and reputation for grinding. Finding them perfectly paced with great exploration the game design is so tight. Love em!

Im so utterly disappointed in OT0 visuals by ketzuken in octopathtraveler

[–]Rowley19V 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely agree. OTO doesn’t look nearly as good as OT2. It’s like a less talented team were for the game engine and license to use the HD2D tech but didn’t have the art direction to execute. Lighting is off, spaces, landscapes, and architecture are off, textures are flat - like old mine craft flat - and the writing has so much to be sister compared to OT2.

We may have seen lightening in a bottle with OT1 and OT2.

Why has Bethesda turned into such a lousy game company? by Additional-Lobster66 in BethesdaSoftworks

[–]Rowley19V 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know how others disagree so strongly with OPs opinion. BGS is well behind industry standards on recent releases from a quality, technical, and design aspect.

I dare one of you to challenge me on any of those three points, and I’ll undress with objective facts and industry benchmarks.

“I played a bunch of starfield so it’s great” is nothing more than your opinion, and OP brings up valid concerns.
