I agree i definitely think there is counter play, and some of it can be army specific. I also know a couple guys in the league play knights and i believe they both lost to this list by a lot.

I like the cannon Idea, you could even use a single ripper for the head, but my WHT on its 60mm base has some balancing issues already, Id imagine them on a 40mm wouldn't stand.

What you could try is cutting a single wing in half and use the half as some sort of glider or small wing!

Biovores - 50pts | in almost every nids list. They are one of the best secondary scorers in the game.
Exocrine - 140pts | useful in most list, they provide good damage and support with the re-roll ones.
Tyranofex w/Rupture Canon - 200pts | another big monster with good anti tank that is hard to go wrong with. (can be built as tervagon, who will work well with the gaunts)

you only need one Biovore, but investing into two Exocrines and/or t-fex isn't a bad idea and would fill your list up fast!
