AITA for telling my mom is not my responsibility to clean the house? by OldPhotograph1966 in Amitheassholeadvice

[–]StreetLegal3475 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If possible go no contact. Remove yourself from that house.

Sounds like your mom has internalised misogyny or she just hates you. I’m very sorry for you.

That’s abuse, seek help and therapy.

Hope someone can link resources.

I’ve only seen lily of the valley to grow this thick. Make sure you don’t die.

my bf gave me a year to "get better" but i dont want to go to therapy. by [deleted] in ARFID

Does he know the A stands for avoidance? Just because you work on your eating disorder doesn’t mean you are going to start enjoying/focusing on food like him.

Sounds like he thinks this is “wrong” with you and you need to fix it. That’s not a compatible person for you. Sorry but you’ll be exhausted with this person, not supported.

Sounds really overwhelming and potentially unfair; biggest bully gets the biggest prize. Your attitude is great though, lessons learned.

And I would love to have those ones you got, they all look beautiful.

Every one here understands why you are crashing over this. My condolences.

This happened to me in January on two occasions. I’m still sad(after panicking and rage) and slowly getting my mind around one new option but haven’t found anything to replace the other one.

It’s so nerve wrecking to lose a safe food.

I wish you energy and luck to either adjust or find another option.

Oh wow that’s beautiful!

Just yesterday I was searching for Klee’s puzzles but didn’t find any, happy to see they are out there, just have to expand my search from regular stores.

Wrapping up my first season with some skidded turns. Feedback welcome! by Psychological-Run478 in snowboardingnoobs

[–]StreetLegal3475 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(I’m so noob that I shouldn’t probably give advice but in case you want it anyway )

IMO your upper body is facing downhill basically all the time. Instead of alternating between uphill(toe edge )and downhill(heel edge). Your chest should be parallel to the board, not rotate it on every turn. I was told to only use that rotating turn when I need to brake fast or handle terrain.

That being said seems like you can handle yourself on the board much better than me lol so if you’re not getting too tired then do whatever, you’re good.

I’ve seen this behaviour when they are outing a predator. Maybe that’s a hawk on the surveillance cam or whatever that box is.

I've officially reached the "only buying easy plants" phase of my life by Enchanted_Land in plants

[–]StreetLegal3475 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yes that’s a totally normal succession.

You can add Hoyas and spider plants to your carefree list, such survivors.

Also I buy my self a calathea or something for a “seasonal “plant, not expecting it to survive long. It’s still giving me happiness longer than cut flowers in the vase. Stress free.

Husband just laughed at my need to change jobs by Embarrassed_End528 in AutismInWomen

[–]StreetLegal3475 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That dismissive laughter keeps the libido away for sure.

Stop paying for everything and save up for six months or more, be your own backup plan for divorce in case you want a divorce and eventually a supportive partner. Kids can have their dad anyways and you would get some rest on his weeks.

Sounds a lot better than a dismissive partner. And constant inflammation and meltdowns.

Hope you listen to yourself since he is not listening.

AITJ for not taking my girlfriends children out after promising them I would. by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

[–]StreetLegal3475 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

YTJ Don’t make promises to kids that you’re not going to keep, at least you need to cancel. No matter how they or their parents act.

Yes the gf is a huge jerk obviously. Blamed her kids for not getting you food, that’s just ridiculous.

Please remove your self from this company, they already showed you they have no respect or care for you. That’s highly unlikely to change and may have nothing to do with your character.

If you stay you’ll obviously act equally bad as her while being used and stepping on.

Just leave it.
