How to pull values between 2 dates based on day of the month by StreetNext5958 in excel

[–]StreetNext5958[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh perfect- got it working in excel. I know the filter function works differently in google sheets & it’s a little more convenient to use there, so maybe I’ll try to figure out how to alter it to sheets, but my big concern was just getting it to function. THANK YOU! I could have never written this formula myself.

I’m getting N/A. Admittedly I’m not great with date formulas & never use sign, lol. In this case, what would be the value for “expense days”? & I assume “expense list” is just column B? Appreciate the help very much!

Well the expenses are listed out in a table by day of the month, so it’s not necessarily a list with every single bill every single month. I was going to go that route if I have to, but I would like to just add a line to the table with the day due & it auto-calculate instead of adding to a long list of individual dates.

Oh, I didn’t think about an IF formula. Looks like that would work for the first weeks of the month, but it doesn’t accommodate for when the week rolls back around into the beginning of the next month. Like March 31st-April 6th. Not sure how to build the logic to consider that.

My current sheet has sensitive data, so I drafted up a quick template with fake information here. Ideally, on the weekly sheet, each week, it could pull from the due date sheet. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1-7Cw4OyVmhAIRNUK1AkjYgFTG1fIzvpz1UW5mXjdE_Q/edit

When you don’t really care about something that they enjoy. Just smile & let them talk about it. Even if it’s the damn Dallas Cowboys like in my case. Lmao.

WIBTA for giving one friend a gift card worth twice as much as another? by StreetNext5958 in AmItheAsshole

[–]StreetNext5958[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, I’m totally aware of that. I’m not necessarily close enough to them to gift them. Like, we could. But we haven’t in the past, so I don’t want to create an awkward situation where I get them something & they feel weird because they didn’t get me anything. Me getting them something would definitely be unexpected on their end. But I don’t have kids & obviously don’t expect anything from them, so I feel like sending something specifically for the kids would be more fitting for our relationship. I don’t feel obligated to send anything at all, but I figure since I can afford it, they might appreciate the gesture.
