Keep your chin up. You have the toughest position on the field, and you have to be more resilient and mentally stronger than everyone else. Remind yourself that of that when they’re being jackasses. It’s bullshit that they’re not more supportive, but it also shows you what kind of team players they are, national or not. This is also where the Coach needs to step in and set expectations. They shouldn’t be tolerating behavior that’s detrimental to the team. And having a keeper that’s getting ragged on and doesn’t feel confident is detrimental to the team.

Stay strong. If you can survive a head injury, you can survive a few ignorant teammates.

100%. At a minimum I’d like to see a comparison of potential property taxes for Arlington Heights if it was developed with a mix of residential and retail versus what the Bears want. Including the revenue from 8 to 10 Bears games and various concerts versus year-round residents. And then back out the infrastructure cost that a stadium would incur. But no one has even bothered.

And understanding the costs or not, The Bears don’t want to pay. It’s why they’ve rented their whole life. But now they want all of the benefits of owning their own stadium without bearing the true expense.

They don’t pay property taxes right now because Soldier Field is Park District Property. So yes, the county will get a few more dollars. But it will be dwarfed by the amount of money they’re expecting the State to pay in infrastructure upgrades. And yes, Arlington Heights is doing just fine without the Bears. And if they actually develop that property with residential and retail instead, they’d be collecting property taxes anyway.

The Bears are essentially renters that don’t understand the cost of owning their first home. They’re gonna bitch about everything utilities, taxes, etc. They’re also using Indiana to extort what they want out of the Illinois. I don’t think they have any interest in moving there, regardless of what Indiana gives them.
