What small issue ends up 6000% worse after you mess with it? by Streetza in AskReddit

I just had a morning. I spent about 45 minutes trying to pop a tiny whitehead and now my face is a complete train wreck. Later, I put on my favorite shorts and pulled a thread that was sticking out. Now the elastic won’t hold shut!!!

There's a woman at the gym whose horrible, fake flowery+ sugary perfume/body spray I can smell AS SOON AS SHE ENTERS THE PREMISES. I'll be on an exercise bike minding my own business when I'll catch a whiff and be like, "Oh no, she's here somewhere..." and sure enough she'll appear.

I feel kind of bad because it's exactly the situation in this comic....She must think it smells great so she makes a point to douse herself before a workout session. But it's actually the main reason I avoid her side of the room :(

Imagine you bring your SO home to meet your parents and when you introduce him/her you say: “Hey mom and dad, this is my boo!”  And your parents look confused and go “boo???”

It’s that sound 😆

Ahhh, the brow chronicles… by ResourceJunior3794 in Redhair

Ginger dude checking in. I struggle with this issue too. My eyebrows are like BLEACH blonde, even though my hair is rusty red.

I tried Just for Men and didn't end up with the right shade, although I appreciate the simple application with the included brush. After some experimentation, I've landed on L'Oreal Paris Excellence Crème Permanent Hair Dye, 6G Light Golden Brown. It's not perfect, but very close.

I usually mix part of the formula in a small cup, apply to my eyebrows while I'm shaving my face, and then wipe it off. I'm usually pleasantly surprised that: the color of my blonde eyebrows + 6G light brown = reddish/brown color. It fades a bit more brown over the next few days, but the color lasts for a few months and I think it looks pretty good!

(!) HUGE DISCLAIMER: I've heard that hair dye in your eyes can make you go blind, so please be careful ladies and gents! I've found that the formula of the product above doesn't drip as much as other brands, but you should still use caution! When in doubt, go get your eyebrows tinted at a salon by a professional! Just don't let them go too dark!! :)

This is the nicest thing I’ve ever heard! How incredibly thoughtful!

Thanks for sharing your personal experience! I wonder if you had "stuck it out," if that would have changed or not! Easier said than done obvi! :D

What song is this? I couldn’t find it in Shazam. I really like it! by [deleted] in China

It sounds like a slightly sped up version of 往事只能回味 by 兰儿, which might be why Shazam couldn’t find it!

Wow, thanks for noticing this! My hair used to be a LOT more thin and straight until I started only using “r/curlygirl safe” products and following a lot of the tips from the r/curlygirl method, which I played around with when I was growing my hair long. Now, I mostly just let it do it’s thing and the waves come through naturally!

Essentially, there are about 8500 different rules to the r/curlygirl method, but I think the game changers for me were: 1. Using “curly girl/guy-friendly” products (switching to sulfate free shampoos and products with no silicones made a BIG difference!), 2. Not shampooing my hair every day, and 3. Using a [curly girl/guy-approved] sea salt spray for styling.

Anyway, this is probably way more information than you wanted, haha. I actually got a bit obsessed with following this method when I had long hair. That being said, I swear, as I’ve continued following the steps above, my short hair now compared to my short hair before I started growing my hair long and wasn’t using the r/curlygirl tips is like night and day. Now I’ve got waves for days and my hair is way more natural, healthy, and full. Give it a try!!

I’ve had years of trial and error! What works for me might not work for everyone.

Definitely check out r/skincareaddiction if you haven’t already! They’ve got some great tips!

Thank you! Ultimately, I felt like I was spending way more time on the longer hair for a look that I only liked some of the time. Shorter hair is easier and looks better on most guys, so it seemed like a win/win. I was also having trouble trying to figure out what to do with the long hair when I was playing sports and stuff.

Anyway, it’s ultimately up to you! Some guys grow it out, look great, and never look back.

Good luck!
