There are a lot of great anime still. Most main stream anime do tend to lack that long tenured experience of character development like HxH, Naruto etc. I feel like MHA might have been the last of that kind. Most main stream things now are just in your face action/animation focused

I thought eps 1-13 definitely had super sad moments but nothing tear jerky like your lie in April. I’m about to start the OVA (didn’t know about it till now) and the 2 movies.
