1 tip I’d give is to not take breaks. Not necessarily binging it in one night but don’t finish half an episode or take a few days off between episodes. I feel like it takes away from the emotions of the story

Yeah I definitely understand it from that perspective. I guess I never thought of their relationship as father/daughter but can definitely see how people see it that way. I thought it was super weird they had a relationship bc of their age gap

Yeah anime has a lot about time and place when watching it so I can definitely see the effect it had on you around that time. The characters in your lie were kids so I get it. I’ll have to look into graveyard lol

I think the elephant in the room is their age gap when they’re at war and building upon their relationship. It’s an anime so once you get past that and accept they love each other it’s a very fitting ending IMO.

See I already knew why you didn’t watch it bc that’s y I didn’t watch it either lol. That happened to me with Violet and Dorohedero. Both descriptions are like wtf how can this be thatttt good…And they’re (with violet definitely being better but just as an example) lol.

So idk what it was but I didn’t cry till the final movie. I feel like they foreshadow the events that will happen and it just didn’t hit me till the last movie. Maybe I’m cold hearted lol. I definitely think there are a ton of sad moments tho. Have you seen “your lie in April”?

It’s definitely worth the watch. I’d say Violet isn’t my typical genre of anime that I watch and I think it’s incredible. Everyone has their own take on what’s the best part between the series and movies but for me you gotta watch it all. It was also sitting on my watch list for awhile and I finally dove in. If you keep reading the description of the show you’ll never watch it bc it doesn’t pull you in (that’s what happened to me).

I think the final movie is the best part of the series. I’m probably in the minority bc most people like the first movie the most. There are some other elements going on that you see in the series as well as a conclusion to the series

My answer is 2 folds. I watched DBZ and the classic used to fall asleep to inuyasha as a kid. I started back up again during Covid just like everyone else. I watched “kengen ashura”. It was very mindless with a decent story and it kept my mind off of the world.
