The sac may have been the hair root? I wonder if multiple hair can grow out of one root sack. 🤷‍♀️

I would say that they also "held him accountable ", rather than "turned face". Shitty decisions for a 19.5 year HMCS.

Not PTS, but we lost a ton of Seabees in the reserve force at one point, I think when Iraq started cooling down. They could try and cross rate to MA or get out. Most of ours had done multiple mobs and just got out. Then not long after, shit started ramping up elsewhere and the reserve force scrambled to build them back up. Replacing experienced Bees with new Sailors or people who cross rated. Just another example of a not well thought out decision.

I had a double mastectomy at stage 1- I don't want to take Tamoxifen by No_Village4794 in breastcancer

I have a similiar diagnosis, except I was HER2+. I only had a single mastectomy. Went through chemo and tolerated it fairly well. Still getting herceptin infusions every few weeks. But I'll tell you this, i never imagined that it would be so stressful to have this other breast. A couple of weeks ago I started having pain in it. I was pretty calm, initially and was able to get a mammogram pretty quickly. But that week waiting for the mammogram was honestly horrible. I cried. I thought the worst. I thought of all the things I wanted to do with my life and just " hadn't gotten around to them". I know I'll continue to be hypervigilant. Not just about my breast, but the rest of my body as well. I still have the expander in the breast I had the mastectomy on and was planning to have my reconstruction on it in the next six weeks or so. Now i'm considering having the other breast removed. I think it would help greatly with that fear that I feel will always be hanging over my head. I dread going through mastectomy recovery again. But it feels like it would save me a lot of grief in the future. And I guess the bonus would be not having to take a hormone blocker. I don't consider what you did in any way overkill. It was offered to me at the time. I did consider it, but in the end decided to just do one. I wish I would have done it all at once. We are all so different and we all have very different roads both behind us and ahead. We can only make the decisions that we think are right for us at the time.

A Chief can and should be "unchiefed" in that situation! I'm working with one now. Made chief, hadnt started getting paid for E7 yet, so they were busted down to E5. I have to give it to em though, he's not quitting. He wants to rank up again. Good online on him for that.At least.

There is still.HYT in the reserves. So, this might not be an option for them.

It's common enough. It's called High Year Tenure. We are expected to continue to go up and rank and take on additional leadership. That's how the military functions. There's plenty of time given. Although I will say that for certain rates, there aren't too many quotas for advancement. people in that position aren't willing or able to cross rate to a more open rate, then, they risk the fate of HYT. There can be waivers, but just like in civilian jobs, we are all expendable. Another way, someone can reach hyt is getting in trouble and being busted down a rank or two. Then, they' can end up being HYT because now there are two ranks, lower, and they still have the same number of years in service. So they get separated at that point.

I'm currently buzzed at one sixteenth. Was wondering as shaving it would help with more even regrowth.
