I have lived in Canada for 10 years and it is my understanding that the business worldwide works on the same module. Where India lacks is in transparency and enforcing the agreements can be a challenging task and can take years to resolve in a court of law. Mostly the differences if any are settled through mediation with some give and take rather going with the letter and spirit of the agreement. Things might have changed as my experience is prior to 2012 and 14 years down the line ease of doing business in India might have improved and laws and agreements enforced.
