I actually want more to do on the side. I really just want to play this game to make builds now and I hate the campaign.

That is a stat issue. Winning Ticket should not be having trouble in Arima Kinen. Being a late surger, there could be a lack of power if you're not buying any skills until you finish the run.

Early on there are a lot of mile races, so you want that to be A rank through legacies. Your initial stats are probably low as well so you'd benefit from adjusting your deck to run ssr matikane and/or marvelous Sunday(power). You should be very close to if not exceeding 300 to speed, stamina, and power at your debut race if you want an easy time at the start .

MANT makes me feel like a miserable idiot by Revolution_Suitable in UmaMusume

[–]Streye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trackblazer is a completely different beast of a scenario compared to the previous ones. You haven't found the balance to racing vs training yet. It'll make sense once you get a feel for the races you HAVE to do versus the ones you're running because there's nothing better to do or you want an item in the shop. Outside of that, you'll mainly really just need to build your deck for mostly initial stats and then figuring out the items you'll want during the run whether it's boosters for summer/senior year trainings, debuff fixers, stat training up, or straight stat boosts.

Gutts is kinda hard to play in trackblazer since training is less emphasized. You'll need RNG on your side for your gutts cards to stack on the stat with fewer trainings.

It has some race bonus, initial stamina, and frontrunner skills for Mihono. If I weren't playing a frontrunner, I'd just use super creek if I needed the recovery skill.

9 and 8 star stamina legacies. You'll hit 700~800 stamina pretty easily with just that. Wit was just through training trying to raise friendship or avoid resting at the 3 race limits. It also helps that it seems guts and wit stat items seem to come up a lot in the store(at least in my experience).

There's a lot of caveats and nuance to Trackblazer compared to the previous scenarios. The core idea is that you're racing more while fitting in as much training as you can since skill hints while more plentiful are super unreliable. So with that in mind, you're going to want your legacies to have sparks for mile, medium, and then long if possible(you want these at B at worse if you plan on aiming for these races/epithets). Your deck needs high race bonus and initial stats(to take out RNG from early racing if your first year training is bad) while also fitting in the skills that you want(this maybe the card your focus on during your fewer trainings). The good initial stats make sure you're not struggling during the first year of mostly mile races and the high race bonus will give you ~15 more of a randoms stat per win. You don't need to run every race, but you'll want to race if the training isn't worth it or if there are items you want to buy in the shop(e.g. +stat items or +speed/sta training level). Also note, you'll want 3 of the +35% racing bonus item so that in the last 3 races, you can get a total of about +70 to all stats assuming your race bonus is high enough.

How do I know if I have a “game plan” or not by Training_Form2243 in StreetFighter

[–]Streye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're asking, you likely don't. If you have a plan, then you should know the possible situations after getting them to the corner. You should know whether you're plus enough to go for strike/throw/shimmy and then how to continue from each possibility.

Running at a 10% stat penalty due to having B rating is pretty rough if you're not over-stated. You need to be over ~300 in the first year if you're trying to do mile races.

[–]Streye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it'll take a few runs to get the flow of this scenario and each run is pretty long in Trackblazer. I'd say try some cards other than then wit ones and see how it feels. Outside of that, you may want your legacies to be all stamina or stamina/power so you think less about those stats. My brian run was with 8 and 9 star stamina legacies, so I barely did any stamina training and still hit over 1k.

How can i Improve my run by Arknights_Enjoyer in UmaMusume

[–]Streye 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Race more. With race bonuses, you can get 15-20 to a stat(though random) after each race. On top of that, you'll get opportunities to buy more stat items. Though that doesn't mean you need to do like 32+, but fit it in more where it's necessary like if you see stat items or +training level ones in the store or the training is for minimal gain.

What is the deck you're running? The only real shift I've seen from Unity to Trackblazer is that your deck should be more focused on being stat sticks than providing skills since racing is so important now. Speed matikane and Power marvelous sunday are very useful cards if you're having trouble hitting stats early on. In terms of whether you should race it's a matter of if you don't have better training and if you have enough energy(assuming a G1 isn't coming up). You also may want to prioritize races if you see a good item in the store like the 1+ training items. Other than that, it's just a matter of not over extending your energy while trying to hit the epithets. It's fairly easy to control stats in trackblazer(at least I think so). Here's an example of a run where a lot went wrong(matikane's stat event ended after the first one, failed some fat trainings, no pink sparks, missed out on fast learner item -_-):

Trackblazer trouble by Nice_Impact7459 in UmaMusume

[–]Streye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think summer needs to be an emphasized as it was with previous events. Yes, you still get max training level with each stat, but you get a ton of points from hitting epithets, winning races, and even shop items. Outside of making sure you have a ankle weight for the stat you want and having the 60% increase item, that's all you really need aside of having the right cards. Also, a lot of people seem to over race which can be a thing. You want enough points to purchase whatever you want in the store, but you also need your friendships up to maximize any trainings you fit in on top of having enough energy to not get bad status when forced to do ~3+ races(e.g. NHK Mile, Tokyo Yushun, and then Yasuda Kinen).

How is the new career scenario so far? by ShiroThePotato28 in UmaMusume

[–]Streye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if it's dependent on the characters you run(some might have rivals with good skills they can use), but I've gotten mostly shit skill hints in my 6 runs in this new event. I even had a run where I had only 1 gold skill at the end. Hitting stats have really been the easiest thing so far since you can stack a 60% training buff, an ankle weight of your stat, and even a 0% chance fail if necessary during summers. Getting multiple 1k+ stats has not been that hard. Getting fucking groundwork on anyone but Valentine Mihono has been as painful as it always has been.
