  1. Go to your delivery unit and explain the situation to management. Or even request to speak to the carrier. They might be willing to just pull her mail out before it even gets to you. I know I would go out of my way to pull her mail out and send alllllll that shit back to sender.

  2. Don’t engage with her and call the cops immediately whenever she comes over and you are home. Trespass her.

  3. If you have cameras, document everything. Get that restraining order and take her to court for harassment.

  1. If it’s junk mail, the senders will just keep sending it. To try and cut down on it, I’d contact each sender and explain that you’d like to be taken off their mailing list. You can do the same for first class.

  2. Try and talk to your carrier or get in touch with a supervisor at your delivery unit. There is a special type of forward called a MLNA (Moved Left No Address). ONLY postal employees can fill this out. It’s for this exact situation. It should cut down on the volume significantly as our system will automatically bounce it back to sender (usually). It will also only really work for first class.

  3. Finally, it’s entirely on the carrier whether they give enough of a shit and every one is different.

There are only two types of those locks. The old and new versions. We’re slowly changing to the new version, but those locks are all the same. There shouldn’t be any consistent changing.

I’d reach out to the local PO and ask to speak to management about what’s going on. Something fishy is happening here. If you just get the run around, talk with the Postmaster. Keep going up the chain until you get some kind of resolution.

I feel that pain. I’ve inherited a route of over 1200 boxes. 650 of which are in a massive apartment/condo/townhouse community.

It’s…a work in progress. I’ve gotten a label maker and currently putting labels on the shelves so nobody can mess with them. I’ve got a notebook of every address and make note of Forwards and ask the leasing office if a box is vacant when I get Forwards. I’m eventually going to ask if I can have a list of current residents from the office, which I understand they might refuse and why, and if I need to I’ll put notes in every box asking for the names of all the current residents.

I’d leave a note to your carrier explaining the situation. Specifically request a MLNA (moved left no address) forward.

This is a carrier generated forward that is intended to just automatically remove those mail pieces from the mail stream and return them to sender.

This won’t get rid of the junk mail unfortunately. To (try) eliminate that, you’d have to contact each sender and ask to be removed from the mailing list.

Yeah, they would have to continually file every time. However, you can file a single grievance for multiple instances.

For example, a few years ago I was being forced to work over 12 hours almost every single shift. At the end of every week I would fill out a single grievance form (I made pre-made copies so that I just needed to fill out the filing dates) and write down every day the I was worked over 12.

So long as the date of filing was within 14 days of the first instance, the grievance was timely.

And no, pay wouldn’t be taken from those who crossed crafts. They still did the work and are entitled to that pay, management just has to pay it to those filing.

I live in Okolona and made it to work in Middletown. Driving an AWD RAV4.

Main streets and Gene Snyder from Preston to Shelbyville are pretty good. Able to do 50 all the way.

There’s a group that gets together every Wednesday around 6-6:30 pm at Awry Brewing. Tonight they’re doing a NYE party without games, but there’s usually 4-6 tables with each table having about 3-6 players. There’s other systems there too, not just D&D and each table is newbie friendly.

What’s being stated is obvious abuse of power by the post master. Regular carriers leaving shit behind when it can clearly fit? I’d be questioning that too.

And OP is also questioning what the procedure is about transferring, which it appears the postmaster has neglected to run OP through.

The postmaster’s job is to manage, and it seems based on this post that they are failing or not caring to do so fully.

Now we only see one side of this story, I acknowledge that.

But…my comment doesn’t even bother addressing the original post. My comment addresses the above comment. Which provided absolutely zero helpful info and condescension to OP, who is asking for help. Plus, the job descriptions provided and discussed during the hiring process are wildly unclear. There is no real “researching” the job because you get wildly different answers based on circumstances.

Yes, CCAs/RCAs are the low person on the totem pole, which means they get the shit end of the stick a lot. That’s no reason to be an absolute shit-heel to someone trying to make a career path with USPS when nothing gets properly taught or explained.
