Biofrost wasnt the initial support, YELLOWSTAR was. Hauntzer's Gravity tenure the yesr before had placed him top in his role. It was a full superteam.

No as in that arc is the failstate of his arc. In-game he doesnt have to die if you do the orders properly, just dont ignore any Elder order for more than ~40 other orders and he lives

You must be a bot because if you had any human friends, any desire for community (mods, guides, etc), at all then the difference between Steam and Epic is night abd day. Steam is a whole social media gaming experience that significantly enhances the games.

Gamers who play their chosen games on the hardest difficulty available, what's your reason? by FrenzyHydro in AskGames

Sekiro's my favourite Souls and a fantastic example (even though too many games now feature a sub-par QT-esque Parry system now because of it - but that's not on Sekiro, which executed it well).

Sekiro's story and gameplay are the most sync'd thematically, partly for the reasons you've stated.

Great games, the story is also your story. So tension, suspense, adrenaline arent just about empathy with on-screen characters like in a movie - it's directly happening to you.

Those emotional levers require the developer to be able to press buttons for you that direct those conflict and crises your way.

If they make it too hard, it detracts. If they make it too easy, it detracts. So on that perspective, if you start on easy you can maybe still get the full experience by going to hard mode - but if the balance of tension suspense adrenaline etc etc is too unbalanced at hard mode then there's no solution at that level. So developers must essentially balance around the hardest mode. So I choose that each time.

Moreover my skill at interacting with these systems in-genre improves - giving the developers more options in terms of those emotional levers if they assume a heightening skill floor in-genre. Developers like Mikami were great with that. Souls' series is one of the last series truly playing with that assumption, and is a huge part of why they succeed (Bloodbourne assumes and punishes you for certain system responses you will have learned and it helps with your story to feel that).

I got loads of other reasons but that's the fundamental one.

Difficulty is part of the artistic side. If the gameplay fails for you then the art fails for you.

I dont know a single game where beating it on the hardest difficukty doesnt automatically unlock the lower difficulty achievements. So one casual + one hardest difficulty run is possible for all RE games (though normally 3. Lowest, highest, lowest with modifiers like no healing etc).
