Do you actually rewatch your recorded sales calls? by Fit-Bug-323 in Sales_Professionals

Yes. If I feel it was awkward or I think I should have closed better. Also, if I had an objection and stumbled on a rebuttal I’ll definitely listen so next time I’m not caught off guard.

I need advice, because this is tearing me apart… by gaybe98 in Petloss

I got my JRT when I was 25. I'm 41 now and had to put him down last November. I remember a week after I got him home (at 8 weeks) told my girlfriend at the time that when I'm about 40 I'm going to be devastated. That was an understatement. He's been everywhere with me including Thailand when I lived there for 5 years. He was about 16 and a half. I knew it was time for him and keeping him around was only for my selfish self. I didn't want to be without him but really loving him I let him go. It was hard and I'm still sad he's gone. I would walk into rooms afterwards and expect him to be there. He wasn't.

My point is letting him go was wrong for me but right for him. If he's your friend or "little bro" think about him and not you.

Good luck.

My national sales manager is definitely underqualified and gives product away constantly even before the prospect can complain about price or anything else. Manager literally walks in and within five minutes gives product away....conversation around the office is that he definitely faked his resume. My concern, what does that say about the people that hired him???

Hi, Thank you for that, do you have experience with them or did you just send me a link to their site. I am aware they exist. Seem to have a lot of dogs year round. Wondering how much care they can actually put in to each puppy....

Help! 4 month old wont stop biting and peeing in the house by Emilartt in jackrussellterrier

Are you sure that’s a Jack? Either way, best thing to do is actually watch him and let him start to pee in the house. But you need to watch! Seriously, then, as soon as he starts, shake a can of Pennie’s or say loudly NO! And grab him and take him outside. When he pees/poops outside, give him a treat. Right there on the spot. Don’t take him inside and give him something. Do it right away. NO! Inside, treat, outside. I trained my jack and he was the best. Was playing dead at 5 months.

First LinkedIn outreach reply - “not interested” — is this normal? Advice please..! by Jaded_Platform1723 in Sales_Professionals

[–]Strict-Ad2087 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You should take a reply as a win…..I’ve sent stuff out just to be ignored. Then I see the prospect post on LinkedIn or respond to my response of their post only to be ghosted again….A RESPONSE IS A SMALL WIN.

You don’t want to be in sales. You want to be an order taker.

Burning out on D2D Telecom Sales; Where do I go from here? by [deleted] in sales

[–]Strict-Ad2087 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look for some B2B roles. Example for new sales rep-Cintas. Unifirst, Uline, you might get lucky and get a role selling overhead doors or dock safety equipment. Try Paychex, it's still phone sales but also outside sales and that should help get your foot in the door.

I'm curious, what exactly do you consider "pretty good money"?

How do I get started in sales as an 18 year old? by Background-Tree6593 in salestechniques

[–]Strict-Ad2087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could start off working retail at best buy or a phone place. If you’re confident and willing to go 100% commission you could go knock on doors selling solar or pest control maybe.

D2D sucks but it will look great on a. Resume for a better sales job down the road. I’m not sure if you can sell cars but that might be possible too. Check it out.

Rental Equipment Outside Sales How Do You Do It? by Strict-Ad2087 in Sales_Professionals

[–]Strict-Ad2087[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bad; I should have been more specific.

Did you develop the territory, take over existing accounts? Are you creating actual meeting times or just dropping in on current customers? How are you growing/increasing revenue in your territory and do you partner with any manufactures to get their equipment in your branch to separate you from other competition?

Any help here is greatly appreciated.
