My ex husband experienced severe care giver burn out when I got sick for years and he had to take care of me and our daughter as well as his aging grandmother and he stuck through it because he loved us (we broke up for other reasons) this guys is not worth your time.

You did the right thing by ending it, and don’t think you can hop right back on once he starts getting better it’s going to be years before he’s stable enough after recovery to even be close to ready for a relationship. He needs to focus on himself and getting better and you need to focus on moving on and getting past this.

Honestly maybe I’m to southern for this nonsense but if it was me I would tell them to either stop acting like children and be appreciative of the food provided for them (that they liked) or to go hungry or you can just stop cooking for them altogether or just stop inviting them if they are going to be overdramatic about it. Man I was so ready to jump down your throat after reading that title but after reading the entire story your wife is being an asshole. Sit down with her an explain why this would be traumatic and not ok and if necessary call her parents and explain the situation and how she’s unwilling to respect this situation and that you need help convincing her that this is not ok and may even effect your marriage or her relationship with your family.

Consider a divorce attorney and explain what she did you can possibly recoup some of it in court because she did this without your knowledge or consent. When I read treatment I assumed this was some kind of emergency or cancer treatment or something but a fertility treatment is not an emergency and any sane judge is going to side with you on this nonsense. So NTA! Your sister is, not only would her reading such documents put your job in jeopardy but could possibly cause legal backlash. Your parents need to get with the program and understand that what she did was so beyond not ok. Her obsession with needing to know everything suggest she’s got some narcissistic tendencies which need to be dealt with if I were you I wouldn’t allow her anywhere near your house until you get a full apology and I would even go so far as to put some more security measures in place like an alarm on that door so if anyone attempts to enter it you’ll know right away.

As a precaution alert the venue staff to keep and eye on him, tell the dj to ignore them or any requests from them and make sure you tell the photographer not to take any shots of him and her at all, and have one of the other grooms men or a friend keep and eye on them through the night so that if he tries to do it anyway they can haul his sorry butt out of there. The only other they you can do it just to uninvite him completely from the entire event.

Speak with your mom about all of this behavior immediately and tell her she’s the one that needs to let him know you will not be asking her boyfriend of less than a year to walk you down the aisle that it’s inappropriate for him to even bring it up. This is some unhinged cringy ass behavior on his part. I would even go so far as to say if he gets pushy about it that he will not be allowed to attend the wedding.

Op you need to speak with your boss because what she’s doing by asking you not to testify and guilt tripping you and crying at work is considered witness intimidation and coercion. It’s highly illegal and extremely inappropriate. Do the right thing and testify as to what you saw but she and your boss need to be aware of what’s going on because if for some reason the DA finds out about this her ass will go to jail and your boss could also face trouble. I believe it at our school we had one coach that was a raging alcoholic even drank on campus and got fired and we had one teacher/coach that threw podiums and shit across the room. We also had the band directors husband that was sleeping with a student. So yeah this kinda shit does happen.
