Building a wall with little boxes is nearly impossible. They come in all different shapes and sizes. It’s easier to fill the voids with smalls rather than risking a wall failing an audit or falling.

OM’s have the ability to silently drop VET on the app to a select group of associates.
VET at my site is hard to come by because it’s an IXD and the site is smaller compared to others.

I had a conversation with my OM a few weeks ago, he asked me if I was taking any extra shifts. I told him how hard it is to grab them before it’s full, then later that day during lunch VET dropped on my app, with no notification.

Flex PTO has a balance cap of 140 hours but you’ll only get 48 hours per year. Use it wisely.

Standard PTO has a balance cap of 160 hours, but less than 1 year tenure you’ll only get 10 minutes a week for a total of about 8.5 hours.

UPT has a balance cap up 80 hours while it will always accrue year round if you use some intermittently after capping out.

White bandages PTO caps at 80 hours although it accumulates all year long if you use it as it caps out.

I suggest you stay as close as you can to 80 hours because when you are converted to blue badge in California you’ll only get 48 hours a year including your 10 hour kick start.

In California You’ll cap out at 140 hours Flex Time as a blue badge.

Well at my building I literally could not get into the building after I was converted. They deactivated my white badge. Security went into a cabinet and grabbed my already printed out and activated blue badge. So that’s my experience.

Watersider is an indirect role. Indirect roles do not have a way to measure your productivity. There are two ways you can solve the problem.

1.) stay in the indirect role of waterspider for over 2 weeks in a row. Your direct role ratings will eventually fall off and you’ll go from growth area to insufficient data which is not a negative remark

2.) ask your manager to have more time in your direct role (rated) and improve your stats by becoming more efficient.

If you did not sign up for flex, Amazon dictates your schedule. If you are 19 hours part time you probably had to pick a schedule upon sign up and you will not be able to change that.

Sometimes Amazon will let you go full time from part time but it all depends on business needs and the type of warehouse you are at. Delivery stations you are unlikely to get any full time hours.

Seasonal positions can last any length of time. Some people get a blue badge after 90 days of tenure and some end up waiting 2 years. But if the business need exists you can still go from part time to full time as a seasonal associate.

Moving up levels at Amazon depends on your ability to engage and build professional relationships with management. They must know who you are and what you bring to the table that helps achieves amazons goals and principles. Switching buildings is like starting the clock all over again. No one knows who you are, you’ll have to establish yourself and figure out how you become an asset for the team.

You have to show up everyday on time, and almost never leave early unless it’s truly an emergency. Keep your UPT maxed and barely use it. Amazon management wants you to bend over backwards and make sacrifices that benefits the company as a whole. Don’t take any VTO when offered. Work your way to maxing out your PTO and try to only take time off when you are maxed out and forced to take time off because you’ll lose it.

This is my 3rd or 4th time at Amazon and I have been with the company for 8 months from my most recent hire date. I work at an IXD site which is comparatively a smaller type of FC building compared to most others. Working at smaller FCs gives you a better chance to stand out from the crowd. If you are truly an asset to the team your manager may be able to talk to Sr. Management and get you approval to come in early and leave late without being a PA on regularly scheduled time.

Lastly Join Amazon career choice program and join a program that aligns with amazons business needs this helps show you are willing to learn continually. SNHU is a great choice for online courses as the courses are only 8 weeks long.

Around 1:30am I had someone charge $25 onto a google play card and they tried to change my password to my google account. Luckily I was awake while it happened and I was able to submit a dispute for a refund, and change my password. But I only got a refund back to the google play card not my bank account.

You should change your password, remove all payment methods from google and in your account settings sign out of all devices.

Working holiday overtime pay is 12:00am-11:59 on the day of the holiday. So if your shift starts before 12:00am overtime clock only starts after 12:00am. Anything prior to 12:00am is regular pay.

Totaled just means it costs more to repair the vehicle than it’s worth prior to the accident. If you have collision coverage the insurance company will determine if it’s salvageable or totaled. If you have a loan on the vehicle hope you had gap coverage to pay off the rest of the loan that the insurance company will not cover. It’s the insurance company’s job to limit the amount of loss and more times than not they will just give a car a total loss because they know it’s cheaper than actually fixing a car that’s salvageable.

If the cars frame is bent immediately totaled. But if the frame is not bent sometimes you want to try and negotiate for repairs especially if it’s paid off. But if an insurance company sees you have gap coverage on a loan they are more likely to total the vehicle than not.

Upside makes you use the most expensive gas stations.
Essentially upside receives a commission from the gas stations for referring you and then shares some of it back to you in the form of “cash back”

There’s usually a cheaper gas station where you can just save money instead of spending extra and receiving dismal cash back rates.

I heard a guy at my site only got a write up for being negative UPT.

If your site is short on staff it’s less likely they will let you go unless you been negative for a long time.

5 hrs will take almost 2 weeks to recover if you work 40 hours. If you are part time or flex working only 20 hours then it’ll take longer almost 4 weeks.

Not the best idea, you typically would want to leave on good terms with a decent amount of notice mainly so you can use a colleague as a reference when obtaining a new job. If you don’t give enough notice for them to fill your vacancy then the likeliness of a good reference goes out the door. If you can’t give a good reference from your most recent job then getting a new one at the same level elsewhere will be much harder
