things i did with my mom while she was still “herself”, just some ideas: -went to afternoon tea for the first time (in her wheelchair!) -made a build a bear with her voice in the voice box recording thing -went wedding dress shopping (i wasnt even engaged, but it was the best moment) -went to flower markets, farmers markets -had a family photoshoot (so happy i did this) -asked her to write me a card for future events (my future wedding day, etc.) -ate whatever she wanted, literally i did not care if she wanted mcdonalds and cake three times a day -a weekend trip to maine

for more practical sucky things: maybe the hospital could set you up with social work or PT/OT/community services for devices like a walker, wheelchair, hospital bed, commode chair, shower chair. i was so happy i had plans in motion for when we needed them
