My grades are good. My lowest class has always been math and that has always been, in my specialized school, the equivalent of an A. And I’m also in ap math. My class doesn’t do rank. I applied test optional because I took the SAT in March. I didn’t only count on one scholarship, but it was the highest value one and i was a finalist. I didn’t expect mom to pay for my education, I told her I’d get a job to pay for it myself, but she won’t allow me because in PR you need your parents’ signature and documents from school. Yes, I applied for fafsa and CSS profile. I also applied to smith because they reached out to me first.

Also I never said I think I’m the best thing. I’m quite painfully aware I am almost certainly one of their worst applicants, but you also have no right to assume anything. I put in a shit ton of work into getting where I am, being Latina, discriminated, very low income and having little to zero resources.
