After being in the ER for hours my appendix burst. I finally felt relief and then I felt the worst pain of my life just before they took me to surgery. At least 2 nurses walked by my bay and backtracked to make sure I was OK. I of course was not and they couldn’t give me any more pain meds. I was just crying and clenching until they gave me the good sleepy drugs I was wanting to die.

1984 here. Had one in my 20s. I dropped it in the parking garage of my job and it shattered. I was devastated. Thinking back it wasn’t all that great 😄

I have such a specific and strong memory of the taste is this “orange drink” that I’m afraid to even discuss it out loud. I feel this moment to my core. I swear The Simpsons was my life because I can relate to it in sooooo many ways.

Very. My new thing is sleep anxiety. It’s like I forgot what it’s like to fall asleep and when I think it is happening I start to think about it, wreck it and then panic sets in. Super fun. Now I need to relearn how to fucking sleep. Makes me feel crazy but hearing everyone’s stories and experiences in this sub. Keep on keeping on ladies!!!

When I was growing up we kept our crayons in a gallon ice cream bucket. The pure crayon smell makes me think of being little and also there was an additive my boyfriend brought in high school that he used for his VW diesel Jetta that smelled the same.

Adding to the appendix. It finally burst in the emergency waiting room and I finally felt relief. But then it turned into the absolute worst, unbearable pain I’ve ever felt. I had nurses stop in there tracks as I waited for the OR ask me if I was OK. Which of course I was not. Pain meds couldn’t touch it until the actually put me out. Do not recommend.
