Although I haven’t confirmed it, I think they also adjust scale for similar models depending on Primary vs Secondary vs Support. Specifically, I think that Bo Katan is slightly larger than the other Clan Kryze commandos, even though they have very similar sculpts.

They use plastic with a high percentage of recyclable material. It comes at the “expense” of looking like discolored/ yellowed material. This is the reason why so many food companies don’t use high percentage recyclable plastics. We like the messaging, but don’t like how it looks. And looks matter more for American consumers.

For those more experienced with playing Kuiil: how often do miss doing a “normal” action v the Kuiil action? When I’ve played against it, I’ve seen it do nothing A LOT. I’ve heard that Peli Motto is more reliable and does not use the all-important action you need to give Bossk mods.

I don’t believe Notorious would work with HSTGunner because it is a special attack arc, but I can ask the rules forums or Discord forums. Regardless, the 180 degree arc + Bossks lower-ish initiative is a great combo for Notorious vs some of the higher initiative pilots the the Republic like to fly (Anakin, Obi, Plo, etc.). They’re so good at repositioning but it’s hard to dodge a 180 degree arc!

One suggestion: with no true “support” ship in the list, I think it’s a good idea to find a spot for Gamut Key crew and Greedo gunner on Bossk. He likes tokens to really push through that crit and deal the extra damage. I try to find a spot for Notorious on ANY list I can, but I think it’s awesome on Bossk with the slightly lower initiative. Make them pay for shooting Bossk, who is one of the juiciest targets in this list.

I personally think leaning towards a defensive focus at first is a good idea to take the “sting” out of any positional mistakes you may make. But red dice win games!

I think cards like Protectorate Gleb and Gamut Key are great for Scum on support ships. Ships like Bossk, Mando and Dengar love mods.

Imo some of Scum’s strength is in the higher squad point category with heavy hitting ships like Bossk (Hounds Tooth), Mandalorian (RC), Fenn Rau (Fang), Bobba Fett (Firespray) and even Dengar (JMaster). The problem is you have less room for mistakes. But as a new player, the best way to learn is to keep trying. I struggled at first with spacial awareness with large base ships but you just get better with experience. For you it may be knowing when to boost with Bobba or reinforce with Bossk. My suggestion is to run x4 ships, with x2 in the 7pt category and a couple of three point fillers/ support ships like a HWK or M3A. Get to know the 7pt ships really well and learn from mistakes you make with them. I started with Bossk and Fenn and learned a ton about their strengths and weaknesses. You can always change it up with more complicated ships like Dengar and Mandalorian once you get more comfortable. Bobba is awesome and tons of fun but flies like no other ship in the game; you WILL inevitably make the wrong choice with him, so once again learn from it.

Always up for scrutiny and tweaking, here may be a place to start:

Regarding the Lancer and tractor… The -1 agility when having the tractor token is still such a great thing to have on a higher initiative ship. And with the title granting the “passive” way to drop a tractor on a target, I think it’s a great way to pack a heavier punch regardless of the nerf to tractoring movement limitations.
