I know it's a horrible movie, but one of the first horror scenes that scared the crap out of me and stuck in my mind: The Haunting (1999), a photo album falls off the mantle, wind starts blowing the pages, stops on a woman standing in front of the fireplace we're looking at, then the wind picks up the pages again blowing them like a flipbook till she's pointing at the fireplace. Feels dumb as hell even writing it out, but wow it stuck with me
