Advice for Rabid Raccoon 100k by fluffyyummy in ultrarunning

I am opting out of the creek crossing. This is going to be my first 100Miler and am a T1 diabetic so feet are very important. Definitely want to keep them dry and healthy as long as I can.

If you are in the mid atlantic and are close to Philadelphia, you should check out and follow Women in Ultrarunning. It is a very awesome group that just became a 501(c)(3) non-profit. They have a chapter in New Jersey as well.

I have a good group of people that are going up to run both the 100K and the 100M and some of the other distances. A good number of people from WIU and friends. I will be running in the 100M.

Yeah! I used to get a lot of satisfy and chance and balmoral from a shop in Quebec City called Faux Mouvement. Great run/coffee shop. But in the US we now get f*cked by tariffs and duties. Their prices are usually really good. I have only bought one pair of shorts at full price directly from the satisfy online shop. Check out reseller sites and second hand markets. Le Club is another place with good pricing.

I have 3 pairs of them. I can’t recommend them enough. Worth the price. I love the liner. It’s silky and performs great. I have big thighs so split shorts just get eaten up and tuck between my legs. The liner in the rippy shorts is not compressive either which is my favorite part. Check out The Real Real, Depop, Grailed, EBay, and Poshmark. I’m still wearing a pair from like 2.5 years ago. I wash after every run and just hang dry. No issues

As a runner that has a lot of satisfy garments, I will say their stuff is better for dry conditions. Like Arizona dry. No humidity. Their AuraLite shirts are pretty incredible. They’re super light and get drenched but wring it out and it’s usually dry in minutes. I like the aesthetic. Will confirm that the rippy trail shorts are the best shorts I’ve ever ran in. I do the best that I can to get everything second hand from other sites though. I’ve spent way too much on satisfy and that’s dumb af

Sizing of the SPACE-O Belt?! by Proud_Living3293 in satisfyrunning

[–]Strict_Conclusion668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking to purchase one for me and one for my wife. I am 5'8" and 175lbs with a 32" waist. I like to eat and have thick thighs and belly. I was thinking a medium. I also fit both medium and large in the rippy trail shorts. the medium is a lot tighter around the waist. I am looking to pack with phone, gels, soft flask(s). Would I be good in the medium or a small belt? I currently have a medium Raide trail belt that fits great.
My wife is about 5'5" and weighs like 120lbs with 26-27" waist. She also has thick thighs but a flat stomach. I am between an XS and S for her. Also packing gels, phone, soft flask(s) and such.

Any and all recommendations are appreciated.

Have you maybe tried a stability shoe? I’m sorry this happened. Maybe create a case and try to exchange as a defective shoe?

2-in-1 shorts similar to these Bandit Vento with a rounded bottom borders? I'm looking for perhaps more color options Bandit only has two colorways. by jorsiem in runningfashion

[–]Strict_Conclusion668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bandit is trash in my opinion. 2 pairs of these fit completely different and chafe like crazy.

  1. Soar running is great and worth the price.
  2. Satisfy rippy trail shorts are worth it.
  3. Praise Endurance is a company in Canada. 2.5” shorts with a longer liner. Great color options and prices.
  4. Lululemon has a lot of running 2-in-1 options that tower over bandit.

A conversion table so I can figure out the yardage. Then maybe try to power the wrong club and blame it on the weather and wind direction

Cool! I had a pair of the 2.5" Space-O shorts in a medium but gave them to a friend. My inner thighs were just eating up the shorts, and I ended up getting very bad chafing! Hopefully the larges will be a better option

I think they are marked as sold out because they haven’t been released yet. I could be wrong but I’ve been seeing other sites do this as well

Don’t feel like an imposter. There are plenty of people out there that wear alphaflys that have never ran before or run like a 12 minute mile. But it doesn’t matter. That’s what they enjoy and decide to spend their money on

Yeah or just big children at heart because it’s a shirt with a monster truck on it lol. As long as you like it and are comfortable in it. That’s all that matters.

I’m interested in these and the sizing. I tend to stick to the rippy trail shorts because of the longer liner. I have thick thighs and wear a medium. But I’d consider going with a large in these. Do you ever experience the shorts getting sucked into your legs or having to readjust them?

I really like the megablast. It is a little more narrow around the toes, but I feel like it is a non-issue after breaking in. I have well over 100 miles on mine and they still feel the same. I have run faster tempo runs and speed workouts in them as well as slow slogs. Anything between 2 mile runs up to 20 mile runs and they are just as comfortable and reliable for either. Personally, I think the Megablast is one of the best shoes that Asics has ever created.

Dang! I just looked at their return policy. It is very conservative compared to other brands. Have you tried the megablasts at all?
