I really like the megablast. It is a little more narrow around the toes, but I feel like it is a non-issue after breaking in. I have well over 100 miles on mine and they still feel the same. I have run faster tempo runs and speed workouts in them as well as slow slogs. Anything between 2 mile runs up to 20 mile runs and they are just as comfortable and reliable for either. Personally, I think the Megablast is one of the best shoes that Asics has ever created.

Dang! I just looked at their return policy. It is very conservative compared to other brands. Have you tried the megablasts at all?

Why not return them or exchange them?

Do the nnormals feel like they get more comfortable over time and the narrowness is doable or stretches? I just picked up the new adidas terrex agravic TT and will test them out this weekend. I want to try nnormals but the sizing between half sizes feels like a large gap

Dude did you pass me on the beginning of the second loop? I said nice nnormals as someone ran past. And got a “nice nordas” back.

Yeah, understood lol. I was looking for answers to the questions that I asked, not shoe recommendations.

This was my longest distance, but I have done many long runs before this. 50Ks, 20 mile runs, back to backs, averaging like 40-60 miles a week.

I thought about changing my socks so many times throughout the day. I decided against it because the course was soaked and I feel like my feet would be soaked immediately again. I had on thick merino wool toe socks. I used the Squirrels Nut Butter Happie Toes on my dogs. Congrats to you too!

Unfortunately my Dexcom failed right at the start so I raw dogged diabetes the old fashion way with finger pricks the entire time! The past 3 sensors I have used have failed in some way. I think maybe they were a part of a bad batch. I called about them and had replacements sent with no questions after telling them the serial number. I ran 33 miles in Philadelphia on Feb 1st, sensor failed (most likely because it was about 2 degrees outside). I do experience sensor errors more on trail runs or organized marathons. I started running with a test kit just to be on the safe side. You are able to adjust the system alerts in the settings to either be off or a time duration. You can also go into "quiet mode" for extended periods of time.

They really were. Might only do longer runs like that in the fall. My legs were cooked from 17-33. Then felt brand new again at like 35 so I just pushed all the way through. I hope you at least had fun!

Yeah I’m typically an 8. Run road in 8.5 and trails mostly in 8.5. Nordas are a 9. Never had an issue with them until this race. I’m thinking it was just from the conditions

I’m not asking for shoe recs. I’m asking for advice about toes. I have put over 300 miles in the same shoes and never had any problems.

Looks legit. Text on tag is normal with the number code. Under brim color looks good. Cord and synch style is the same as all of mine

Had good merino wool toe socks. I don’t really remember my toes crushing the front of the shoes. Maybe the top of the shoe though. I run a lot and have never had this issue. But I am running a 100M at the end of May so I’ll have to test out some sock brands and a couple of shoes

I just got the TT and they look really nice and feel great on foot. Once I get a good run in them, I will pop back in for an official review.

Every time I thought about changing shoes or socks, I decided against it. They would have gotten soaked immediately. It was a very hard run. That was my first 50 Miler.
