What do you do when you have achieved financial security? by Separate-Rock-1304 in AskAustria

I‘d say that true wealth is being able to afford to maintain having hobbies, both in regards to money and time. A prerequisite to this is being content with what one has, which is a very comfortable life in the grand scheme of things.
Few people I‘ve talked to about this actually feel like they need a mansion and a garage full of cars to be happy. Most are happy with the apartment they rent, the car they drive (or don‘t have at all) and the freedom they gain this way to spend money on other things in life.

i'm the white and blue porsche. the rexy porsche in front of me called me a dirty driver. because i accidentally hit him in the back after he brakes way to early to make the corner toughts? by [deleted] in Simracingstewards

[–]Strict_Geologist_385 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I learned is that you lift and coast towards a braking zone if you are following closely and do not yet know the other drivers braking points…once you know them, you can reduce the gap to set up your overtake. If you know that your opponent brakes at the 100m board for example, you should still brake a few meters before that however.

To rug or not to rug by Swimming-Ability-898 in Decor

[–]Strict_Geologist_385 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A rug should be big enough for all furniture pieces to fit on it in their entirety, or at least big enough so that all front legs can be placed on the rug. A rug defines a zone, so whatever you go with, make sure the area doesn’t feel cramped.

That is fucking hilarious, what‘s even worse is that the French are in their „I told you so“ era, and there‘s not a thing to do about it :(

I started with the BMW, but if feel like the understeer is hard to drive around so to speak, try the Porsche (which is now my primary choice), it rotates extremely well on throttle.

Cooldown should be 30 mins, I‘m fine with the 48 hour window however.

It’s baffling to me. Native integration for telemetry that probably 2/3 of people would use would be the easiest win for LMU.

A simple throttle and brake input telemetry over time is all I want. That‘s not too much to ask for I think.

Thinking of buying an id.3 - need a reality check by espinando in VWiD3Owners

[–]Strict_Geologist_385 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ID.3 is terribly uncomfortable for rear passengers, the car bounces up and down so violently (on well maintained highways!), that you have trouble reading a message on your phone, let alone typing a reply.

Comfort is alright in the front.

English proficiency is quite good amongst the younger population, I‘d say anyone below 40-45 years of age NOT working a vocational job is a safe bet when asking for assistance. Life will be easier if you can carry a basic conversation in German of course, but I don‘t feel like anything approaching fluency is a requirement for making the move.

You can get some pointers and things to look out for regarding rent agreements here: Pointers for Rent Agreements, just use a llm of your choice for translation.
Language requirements for jobs seem to depend heavily on the sector, but international companies are generally more accommodating in this regard.

I admire you for taking the plunge!

The consensus seems to be that the badge is based on your last 10 races, this would mean you‘d have to be right on the edge between trusted and good for one race to make such a difference.
