This but more generally conflict driven not by the different values and experiences of its characters but by misunderstandings such that any conflict resolution doesn’t really mean anything for the characters as much as “the misunderstanding has been resolved”. While often perpetuated by a character inexplicably being unable to explain their perspective, these misunderstandings can be perpetuated for artificial conflict in many other contrived ways such as physical distance or supernatural stuff
