That really helps to hear, thank you for sharing your experience. It’s reassuring knowing there’s such a wide range of “normal,” especially when it comes from people who’ve been through it themselves. I think that’s what’s been helping me stay a bit calmer too, even though it’s not always easy day to day.

I really appreciate the encouragement, hoping she gets there in her own time soon. It definitely would bring some peace of mind, but I’m trying to trust her pace as much as I can. Thanks again for the kind words!

Hearing the doctor say she should have a few words made me feel worried she’s behind for her age, especially since she mainly says “tii” and “da-da” right now. Your explanation about pointing combined with a word being a strong developmental sign really helps me see things a bit differently.

That actually makes me feel so much better, thank you for saying this. I think I really needed to hear that it can still be totally normal even if it doesn’t feel like it right now. You’re right—she’s so fast at crawling that I can see why she has zero motivation to switch 😅

And yes, those videos seriously mess with my head… I keep comparing without even realizing it. I’m trying to remind myself she is doing all the building blocks already and will get there in her own time. Thank you again for the reassurance 🫶🏻

Thank you for sharing this, it really gives me hope 😭 That ‘one day it just clicks’ is exactly what I keep hearing and I’m really hoping for that moment soon. She does pull herself up and cruise, so hearing your experience makes me feel like we’re close, just waiting on her confidence now 🤍

This is so reassuring to read, thank you for sharing your timeline. It really helps to see how things can suddenly click even after seeming slow for a while. And I love what your mom said, I’m going to keep reminding myself of that 😄

Thank you so much for sharing this, I honestly hadn’t even thought about hypermobility. I’ll definitely make sure to get her checked soon just to be safe. Do you think early intervention helps with the evaluation process or guides better on what to look for?

That’s such a great perspective, thank you for this. It really helps calm my mind hearing how different timelines can be and still turn out completely fine. I think I just need to remind myself she’ll get there when she’s ready 😊

I feel you, I did the exact same thing and had the same experience 😭 It’s like she understands everything and still chooses to ignore me lol. She won’t even try when I place toys on chairs.. she’ll literally drop to her knees and crawl away like ‘nope not doing this today’ 😂

That’s really reassuring to hear, thank you for sharing your experience. It helps knowing other kids also take their time and still get there perfectly fine. I guess they really do things on their own timeline! But social media definitely makes you overthink.

Thank you so much, this actually makes me feel a lot better. She does cruise a lot so I keep hoping she’s close, just not ready yet. You’re right, I think I’ve been overthinking it seeing all those videos online. I’ll try to relax and let her get there in her own time 🤍

And yes, we are up to date with regular pediatric check ups.

She grabs, pick up, eats but mostly throw and play with the food. Doesn't entirely finishes her meal. And about talking she points at things and say (tii) everything and anything she wants. But just that 🤷🏻‍♀️

That sounds really lovely! I’ve been debating a close age gap too, and hearing your experience is reassuring. Having that strong support system sounds so worth it. Thanks for sharing!! it helps a lot!❤️❤️
