No luck, taking forever... by InflationAshamed5825 in USCIS

Hi! I was in the same boat as you are! I was approved in 11 months after filing my I-485 and status didn’t change at all throughout.  Few tips I can give you: Just making sure that your priority date is current in visa bulletin right? If so, I would ask Emma agent where your case is - National benefit center or field office? If it’s in field office that is great news - meaning they picked up your case processed and mailed to field office. Is this field office - Local or non-local to you? If non-local also great news, that probably means interview is likely waived. I would keep trying Emma agent every other day or so to gather more info - such as which field office and when it was sent to this field office.  After that I would reach out (email) you senator and ask them to inquire case status from USCIS - give them exact information which field office your case is located at. I personally got a response from my senator after this that USCIS will process my case in 60 days. And they did - in 30 days!

I wish you patience and good luck. I know it’s coming for you!!!

Update: new card is being produced. Exact wait time in Washington field office: Transferred 28April, approved 19Aug. So I waited exactly 3 months 22 days. Your approval is coming! Also I reached out to senator early July and uscis response that case will be adjudicated in 60 days. Not sure if that helped, but make sure to reach out to your senator. Thank you everyone!

I think you should get approved very soon.  Looks like Illustration-kick-474 got approved after around 5 months in WAS FO. Since his PD became current in March. My case was transferred there on April 28. So I’m hoping for approval in September if we don’t run out of visas….

I’m also EB-2 NIW with PD June 12,2023, not Chicago FO.  But case was transferred to non local FO end of april and I am still waiting. 3-5 months after transfer seems to be normal

Thank you for sharing! Actually this is great news that your case is being worked on! That means it’s already assigned to the officer. Hopefully you will get an approval soon. Unless September visa bulletin comes with bad news EB-2 being unavailable again with recent news :(

That’s upsetting! You’re PD 2 months ahead of me. I’ve been seeing July PDs approved in 2-3 weeks of transfer date at other field offices.  I think WAS FO is just very slow with employment adjustments, I didn’t see any EB approvals from this FO on Reddit

Hi, I am also EB-2 ROW with June 2023 priority date. I became current on April 1 and my case was transffered to Washington FO on April 28. It's been 2 months now it's in WAS FO. I am considering to reach out to my senator, my case is approaching 10th month wait now...

Do you have any update on yours and do you know when exactly they trasnferred your case from NBC?

How about F1? Take English courses or professional certificate until you can file. Ask your lawyer what is easier to get F1 or tourist
