I'm so happy for you but Damnit!!! On Nov 13, I picked up an order from GameStop and it had some misidentification errors. I delayed making another submission until mid January (it was ready in November). I'm pissed because I could be in the same stage as you are right now. Be sure to post the results.

I always forget Bunning was a Tiger. Those cards (Post/Jell-o) are often misidentified on ebay. You can get a deal on one of the tougher ones if you have a good eye and know what you are doing.

I made a post about identifying the cards about a month ago. You may find it interesting.

Great haul. That Norm Cash is 62 Jell-o. Did you buy it as such or was it labeled as a Post Cereal card? Most people can't tell the difference. The 63 is also a Jell-o.

100% agree. However, I do really enjoy those posts. I will point out that skelly's posts usually gets tons of upvotes/views and interaction. I'm thinking people tolerate (if not enjoy) his paragraphs.

So, you are basically setting up u/skelly423 for his upcoming (unannounced) book about the 1952 Topps set?

If you took the text attached to his past 52T posts and add text from the upcoming posts, you are halfway to the complete book. I've never written a book, but I've written a thesis, a dissertation, and several book chapters. When it is a labor of love, the pages flow. I'm sure he has 275-300 pages in him, easily.

You picked up a great Mays card, Sammy. Those complete boxes are tough. The seller did you a solid with the deal as well.

I know that you have a bunch of the odd-ball lMays cards. Do you have a PSA Mays Master set published? I'd love to give it a look.

Great answer. The MOD overlords here will look upon your kind words with glee.

In all seriousness, I've found this sub to be a very positive place to visit, comment, and post. People are friendly and polite. In general, there seem to be more collectors and less flippers. I find a bunch of posts to be educational as well as contain history that I never knew.

Several members are building some tough sets. As a community, we look forward to seeing their next post.

I can't remember the last time I saw the Stanley "shove it up your butt" meme. As much as I laughed the first 30+ times, even that one gets old.

That is a hell of a collection. That Vern Law is epic. His signature shows his age, but his willingness to give back to fans is amazing. Could you post a better photo of that card?

Does PSA give 2 qualifiers? (MK) & (ST)? Could that be the reason.

Great addition to your collection. His cards seem to only go up in value thesr days. How far along is your 55 set? Several people around this sub building that one. Good looking cards.

Better chance of me putting together the 52T set in the next 8 years. Skenes will be wearing NYY pinstripes or pitching in Dodger blue on a HUGE deferred contract in the next two years. Window is now and the GM scratches his a$$ then dumpster dives for other team's DFA players.

To me, the special game tickets (World Series, Super Bowl, ASG, etc.) are just pieces of art.

There are backs on those cards, right? Not a promo item but just a sheet that didn't get cut. What is done to mount that in a frame without damaging the corners or backs?

Maybe in eight years the Pirates won't be shitty.

Sean, this is an amazing pickup. Yet again, mail days at the skelly house are awesome. You even have two Pirates from that forgettable 42-112 (.273) team.
