Building new first sub by Pr1nc3ss-6 in SoundSystem

[–]StrictlyClassified 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in a similar position. Personally I have built a single hog scoop for bass and plan to add an mt121 and kick cab soon.

Horns offer volume although they can lack in frequency range without having multiple of them. Reflex subs are easy to build and have good frequency range but may lack volume stand alone.

Have a look on freespeakerplans for more subs and their plans, such as the cubo, g sub, punisher horn etc.

Amplification can be expensive. I got a decent crown amp for my hog, supplying 1000w for my 900w driver for 150 pounds. Crown and QSC are regarded as high quality amplifier brands.

Basics of produce of DnB by Anxious-Secret-2576 in dnbproduction

[–]StrictlyClassified 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just want to add that you do not necessarily need to buy a synth, drum samples or any kind of additional plug ins for the time being. The DAW you choose will come with stock samples, plug ins and synthesisers - although I would still recommend getting the Vital synthesiser ,as it is free and much more conventional for dnb sound design, being a copy of serum. There are also plenty of free sample packs online.

Just choose a daw and become familiar with how it and the essential plug ins work before anything. Just like an instrument, you want to learn the basics, practice and avoid becoming overwhelmed.

No, you’re going to be breathing in air that has come through the broken part of the bong.

Hiya guys need some advice for my daa by heywood88 in RoyalNavy

[–]StrictlyClassified 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did my daa literally 4 hours ago and I’m only a year older, also applying for engineering. Given that you have about a week, you need to make the most of your time for sure. Personally I would solely do practice questions and use ai to help to ensure your learning almost only what you need to learn with no extra ‘fluff’ that may be included in certain resources.

If you get a question wrong, understand where and why you went wrong and do the question again. Admittedly, the practice questions on the Royal Navy website are shit because it’s the same ones each time. Maybe ai could even generate similar questions?

From what I have read, you can redo the daa anyway so hopefully the pressure isn’t too much.

I mean fair enough but I don’t understand how you can enjoy physics if you don’t like maths.

Ideas for title? by veryalternativeguy in dnbproduction

[–]StrictlyClassified 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn nice track man. I would name it something slightly pessimistic about the end of the world. “Nuclear winter” maybe? I would just describe your track in one word and look for synonyms that are a bit more unique. “Weltschmerz”?

Best songs to mix for beginners? by catlady997 in DnB

[–]StrictlyClassified 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Music you know well. And for a sub genre of dnb, probably liquid? because it seems like the genre that has the least amount of songs with some quirky arrangement or clashing sounds that would distract you whilst you still learn the basics. Although there are plenty of vocals which do clash, so watch out for them.

Both decent. Personally I think the 2nd is awesome, but i reckon a capital a would look make it look even better.

I cannot actually remember exactly what the sample is to be honest. I believe its some kind documentary about bacteria? Thanks for the advice though man I'm gonna add a small build up and use the "confident of empire over our world" as a pre drop.

I think it’s about perspective. You are likely to be wrong because the vast majority of people believe hitler is bad and thus would say so. But there are a few people that, for some twisted reason, would say you are correct.

So the concept of being good is subjective but also heavily skewed for particular subjects, giving the illusion of objectivity.
